I used a pocket page layout from September's Crop Kingston all-day crop for inspiration to create this card. You can find inspiration anywhere! But I like sharing alternatives to my pocket pages as it shows that even if someone might not like making pocket pages they can still use my projects for inspiration. This card is a CASE of the one 4" x 6" pocket made to fit a 4.25" x 5.5" Early Espresso card base.

I think my favourite stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue is this one - the Nature's Beauty stamp set. It doesn't have any sentiments but the images work for any occasion! The best part is $4 from every sale will go towards the Center for Addiction and Mental Health here in Canada. I love that Stampin' Up! is being a difference maker and we can help contribute to mental health by purchasing the stamp set. If you missed seeing it - check out page 63 of the Holiday Catalogue.

My card today was created for a team swap. Many different dies were used to create this card - the Stitched Labels dies, Stitched Shapes dies, and the Frosted Bouquet dies.

Welcome to our October Global Stamping Friends blog hop where we are sharing Treat Holders - perfect ideas for Halloween treats, Thanksgiving favours or Christmas stocking stuffers!

I've created these mini curvy boxes using the Monster Bash designer series paper. It uses a 5.25" x 5.25" piece of designer series paper so you can make 4 boxes from one 12"x12" sheet.

The window on these boxes was cut out using the teardrop shape die that comes with the Mini Curvy Keepsake dies. Use a piece of Window Sheet to cover the hole from the inside before putting the box together. The Lace Trim was coloured using a Basic Black Dark Stampin' Blend and adhered with glue dots once the box was assembled. I wrote the boo greeting using the Basic Black blend.

The Brightly Gleaming Specialty designer series paper is beautiful with the Copper foil accents. This card has very little stamping and takes advantage of the beautiful designer series paper and the Gleaming Ornaments punch pack. The Stitched Rectangle dies were used to cut out the Whisper White main panel - the stitching gives this panel a little pop.

Today's card is one I made on Thursday evening during my Facebook live. I saw the idea of using one of the splatters from the Artisan Textures stamp set from a card created by Rochelle Laird-Smith. Although I couldn't remember which splatter it was! I had 3 different splatters on blocks by the time I finally realized that it was the largest splatter that would get the effect I wanted. The splatters are stamped off onto my grid paper before stamping over the birds. This way it lightens up the ink to allow the bird image to pop. The next step was to cut out the image using the Nested Label dies and then to assemble the card. To embellish the card a bit I added 3 pearls and some Clear Wink of Stella to the birdies. The sparkle doesn't show well in the picture above but its there!

Swap cards are fun to make! The hardest part is choosing which product from the Holiday Catalogue I was going to use. Decided that for this swap I would do a fall theme as my other swap card was Christmas.  Did you n now the label on each pack of designer series paper lists the colours? I chose Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry and Early Espresso from the colours listed.

This pocket page uses the same pack of designer series paper as my last pocket page I shared on Sep 17 - the First Frost Specialty designer series paper but it has a different look and feel to it. This designer series paper is very versatile and I love the silver foil. Although if you watch me colouring in the snowflakes in the video you can tell that bright lights and silver foil make it hard to keep the colour between the lines!
This was one of the cards we made at this month's Cards & Chocolate class. Although this particular card is sympathy you could change the sentiment for any occasion! I may make a few more of this card for Christmas! For card classes I try to show different sentiments but then have a few different ones on hand so that class attendees can choose which would work best for their own cards. The Here's A Card stamp set has come wonderful sentiments for year-round use!

After embossing the Crumb Cake layer with the Woodlands embossing folder we sponged the raised part using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Ink. We also sponged around the edge of the oval to give it some dimension as well. The Copper Foil piece was glued into the oval and then popped up on dimensionals. A piece of Linen Thread tied in a bow completed the card.

I would love to see you at the next Cards & Chocolate class on Wednesday October 9th. Check out the details on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/446114642920993/

These random photos taken in Manitoba, where we lived for a few years, are the perfect match for the Feels Like Frost specialty designer series paper. One side of the designer series paper has photographic images on one side and designs with silver foil on the other.
This moose is so adorable! Our team had an in-person holiday card swap at the team meeting on Sunday and I created this card for the swap. Now I have 7 cards for inspiration from team members that I will share them on social media soon.

For this card I decided to use the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. The picture above doesn't do the paper justice! It has sparkle on one side of some of the designs and coordinates with the Snowman Season stamp set and the Let It Snow Suite. But the sheet I used was perfect to give the feel of snow on the ground or falling snow. Both the moose filled image and the tree are stamped off first to give a lighter look to both. And if you saw my post last month about needing some Real Red ribbon it was for this card! I didn't have any matching ribbon so I used the Real Red Dark Blend to colour the Scalloped Lace Trim before adhering it to my card.

Supplies
Stamps: Merry Moose
Colours: Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Moose Punch, Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pine Wood Plank embossing folder, Real Red Dark Stampin' Blend, Stitched Labels die, Scalloped Lace Trim, Red rhinestones Basic Jewels, Vellum cardstock

Today's card is one we created at the Cards & Chocolate class in August. Since the Nature's Beauty stamp set does not have any sentiments I paired it with the Here's a Card stamp set from the Annual Catalogue but you could use any sentiment with these images. After stamping the deer we used the light and dark versions of the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to make the deer stand out.

Supplies
Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Here's a Card
Colours: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake  Very Vanilla
Accessories: Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, Layering Ovals dies, Pine wood Plank embossing folder, Subtle Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals

Octopus Card

September 03, 2019 in , , ,
Under the sea with an octopus! When creating the watercoloured background for this card all I could think of was the Little Mermaid and Sebastien singing Under the Sea! Is it in your head yet like it is mine?

The background panel was created easily by using watercolour paper, the water stamp from Under the Sea stamp set and an Aqua painter. Stamp the water stamp using Bermuda Bay, inked once but stamped twice on the top of the watercolour paper and repeat at the bottom. Right away use your Aqua Painter to smear the ink around. If you need more water, gently squeeze the Aqua Painter.

Supplies
Stamps: Sea of Textures
Colours: Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Smokey Slate
Accessories: Watercolor Paper, Under the Sea dies, Aqua Painter, Tailored Tag Punch

Thank you to all that join us this past Saturday for our August crop in support of Kingston Animal Rescue.

I had so much fun creating this month's card and pocket page for the crop! There was some fussy cutting for the flowers from the designer series paper. The only stamping on my projects were the greetings/title.
A quick Christmas card that has many layers! I had fun creating this card Thursday night and love how it turned out! The Poppy Parade is a great addition to this card.

If you missed seeing me create this card on Thursday during my Facebook live you can catch it below. Join me next Wednesday August 28th at 7pm (a day early as I'm going away on the Thursday) at www.Facebook.com/FromWhereIstamp

Stamp: Dashing Deer
Colours: Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Night Before Christmas designer series paper, Detailed Deer dies, Subtle embossing folder, Pinewood Planks embossing folder, Layering Ovals dies, Decorative Label Punch

A fun summer card that is perfect for a birthday or just because. This was one of the card designs that we made at August's Cards & Chocolate class. Most of the cards we made were beach inspired as I'm dreaming of sitting on a beach along the ocean! Join us on the second Wednesday of every month for Cards & Chocolate class (details are below for September's class).

To create this card the Basic Gray panel is embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder but I stamped the Thinking of You sentiment before embossing the cardstock. We stamped the sailboats and the sun using Momento ink then coloured them in with Stampin' Blends. Its best to colour behind the ships using a Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends as otherwise the ships seem to be floating in the air instead of the ocean!

Supplies
Stamps: Lilypad Lake
Colours: Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Thick Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: Stampin' Blends in various colours, Decorative Label Punch, Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Subtle Embossing Folder, Bird Ballad designer series paper

Almost two weeks ago I did an unboxing video of my Holiday Catalogue preorder and created today's card using new product! Now all I want to create is Christmas and wintry projects! It's been very hard not to use them for everything right now when it's still summer!

To create this card I used the Hammered Metal 3D embossing folder for the card base, then punched those cute trees using the Pine Tree Punch with the Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper. The Wrapped in Plaid designer series paper has great designs that can be used for more than Christmas or Holiday projects. I hope that you are excited about these products as well!

Watch the Holiday Catalogue unboxing Facebook Live here: (you will see all the new designer series paper - I love it all!)

Supplies
Stamps: Perfectly Plaid
Colours: Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Accessories: Wrapped in Plaid Designer Series Paper, Pine Tree Punch, Tailored Tag Punch, Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder

On Thursday I found more photos from 2004 when my husband went fishing with a friend. I had 2 of these pics into a multi photo pocket page spread already but when I discovered the extra photos I knew it would need its own page.
Welcome to August's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month our theme is Trees and Wood. We have many products in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue that fit with this theme. Did you know that you can search using a single word like "trees" in my online store and it will pop up 39 results! Check out the list here: https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/search/trees?dbwsdemoid=2157916

The Birch background stamp set is a great addition to so many stamp sets! I've paired it with the Waterfront stamp set. For the main image I stamped each image about 2 times. The stamped off image is great to add dimension.

The main image is die cut using the Stitched Nested dies. I used the largest die and to get the stitched frame around the white I used the stitched edge on the white and trimmed it down to allow for the Basic Gray edge!

Supplies
Stamps: Birch Background, Waterfront
Colours: Basic Gray, Smokey Slate, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock
Accessories: Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon, Stitched Nested dies, Well Written dies, Subtle embossing folder
