Inside the Annual Catalogue you can find the Holidays Section starting on page 88. The Tidings of Christmas suite uses the traditional colours I like to use for Christmas: greens and red. There is a coordinating stamp set & die bundle that is designed to work with the Tidings of Christmas designer series paper. But you could use any Christmas or Holiday themed stamp set with it. I've used the Season's Blessing stamp set and now the Perfectly Plaid stamp set.

Welcome to July's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop. The You're A Peach designer series paper is the focus of our projects this month. And bonus - it's on sale until August 2 for 15% off.
Do you like the colours in this pack of DSP? They are Balmy Blue, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Mango Melody, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz & Petal Pink. It's neat how the colours are used to colour in the peach - Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Mango Melody. The flowers on my card were coloured in using some of these colours with the Stampin' Blends.

This month some of my favourite designer series papers are on sale for 15% off. Although it's hard to choose just one that is my favourite! Although the new Annual Catalogue started in June I already have 5 of the 9 packs that are on sale this month. Don't have any designer series paper yet or not sure how to use it? Or maybe you love it SO much and can't bear to cut into it? If you need inspiration to use your DSP make sure to check out my posts using DSP here: http://www.fromwhereistamp.ca/search/label/Designer%20Series%20Paper

Welcome to July's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! Our theme is recipe and using the following to create our projects: use Crumb Cake as one of your colours and incorporate food into your project (recipe card, scrapbook page about food, or maybe food related stamp set used).
I had a hard time deciding which of the images would be stamped for this card. Decided to use the sentiment as my guide - dash = salt shaker & spoonful = spoon. Both of these images were stamped directly onto one piece of Basic White cardstock but you could stamp them and die cut them using the Cookin' Dies.

Canadian Stampin' Up! demonstrators gathered together a few weeks ago on Facebook. It was fun! We were given a mystery stamping challenge and this is the card I made using the pieces we were told to gather. My favourite part of this challenge was the designer series paper strip. Can you believe that all the DSP is from one strip measuring 2" x 12"? Even the brick design is from the same sheet. To create each of the layers cut from the strip of DSP on the long side, cut at 3", 4" and 5". The Evening Evergreen cardstock layers behind each pieces of DSP are 2.25" x 3.25", 2.25" x 4.25" & 2.25" x 5.25". Before gluing the pieces together layer them on your card front and arrange the layers in the design you like or copy what I've done with my card.

The June Paper Pumpkin - Expressions In Color arrived at my doorstep this week and I wanted to share what was inside the kit along with what you can create using the products included in it.
This photo shows what you would've received if you subscribed to the kit before June 10. Instructions are also included. If you've received a Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin' Up! in the past the instructions have been updated to include more details and are printed in colour. It was a lot easier to figure out which items were needed for each card.

Can you picture this flamingo dancing? A challenge was given to me at a recent training to pick out a green (or aqua), a yellow, a pink and a blue. It was so hard to pick the colours! Finally decided on: Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam and Pale Papaya. What do you think of the colours chosen? Would you have used a different shade of maybe the green or yellow? Leave a comment below so we can see what other colour combos we can come up with!

Hello and welcome to June's Pretty Cards and Paper blog hop. You will see projects using either the Expressions In Ink or Hand-Penned designer series paper during the hop.
You can find the Hand-Penned Suite on pages 104 to 105 of the Annual Catalogue. This pack is full of wonderful colours including one of my favourite purples: Highland Heather. One side of each page is beautiful floral designs while the backside is beautiful watercolour washed designs.

On Saturday I participated in an online event where a fellow Canadian demonstrator hosted an online training and creative session. This was one of the cards she designed for us to create using stamps, dies and designer series paper from the Plentiful Plants suite. It's fun to gather with other demonstrators virtually or when there were in person events. The community that enjoys being creative and loves Stampin' Up! products is what I enjoy the most about events and meeting other demonstrators. It's one way I can feel connected and part of something bigger than me. Knowing that there is someone else out there that enjoys the same things I do is a great comfort.
There can be a striking and bold impact when using only black and white. And it can be fun to create with limiting your colour choices. A great way to get started is to look for black and white designs in Stampin' Up!'s designer series papers. There are a few you could use, such as the True Love designer series paper from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue or use the Pattern Party designer series paper in the Annual Catalogue like I have for this card.

Today is my birthday! Of course I started thinking about birthday cards and how easy or intricate in design they can be. A quick and easy card sometimes is needed. Using some designer series paper along with a bold greeting stamp you can create one or a few relatively quickly.
Found in the Annual Catalogue, the Biggest Wish stamp set has 2 different fonts where you can mix and match them together like I have on these cards. What do you think of the bold and scripty fonts?

Were you able to join us for May's virtual crop? We used the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper for our projects and I wanted to share a couple of my scrapbook layouts with you today.
Using strips of designer series paper along with cutting out images from the designer series paper you can create a fun layout like I have above. The main piece of paper I chose from the Ice Cream Corner DSP makes me think of drizzled chocolate. What do you think? To finish off this layout you could use one 4" x 6" picture or even add another photo to the right of the white photo layer.
Do you like Stampin' Up!'s new Fresh Freesia colour? I love that they have a new purple! Or maybe you prefer one of the other new colours?

You could create this card using either the Pretty Perennials stamp set by itself and omit the flower die cuts or add even more die cuts! Tip for you: make sure to add some Adhesive Sheets to your next order if you have a Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. It will make it easy to adhere the small cuts to your next project (click the image below and it will take you directly to the product in my store).

An easy and simple way to create a card is to use only one stamp set, a few shades of ink and matching cardstock. As a beginner stamper or one who has many tools, creating a simple card can sometimes be a challenge. If you are starting out you might can be overwhelmed with all the choices. Or if you have a larger collection and been stamping for years it can be a hard choice what to create with first.

One idea to start being creative is to select the colours you will create with. This #SimpleStamping features a new In Color - Polished Pink. One of the great resources that Stampin' Up! provides demonstrators is the In Color combination chart. There are three suggested combos listed for each new In Color and it's a great way to help decide which colour to match with others. For this card I picked the combo of Polished Pink, Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate. Do you like these colours together? I'm undecided. Mostly because of the bright pink. I'm #TeamPurple 💜
