Currently my fav Memories & More card pack - Emerald Envy and Lemon Lime Twist match so well with Soft Sky and Basic Black!!

On the left side page I use one 3"x4" card from the Perfect Days card pack to create the arrow bottom border. The card was cut into 3 and then I used the Tear Tape Adhesive to adhere it to a strip of Whisper White card stock so that I had a strip. I did have to trim the edge since I lined up the arrows. Here is a close up picture of the arrow trim:

The right side page is a pocket page. The heart and "us" was punched from one of the cards in the card pack.

On Thu August 10th I will be hosting a Memories and More Facebook party, please join me on From Where I Stamp's Facebook page at 8pm: https://www.facebook.com/FromWhereIStamp/

This past Saturday was our July Crop with Crop Kingston. This month we raised $275.28 for Loving Spoonful! We were set up in a different room at St. Lawrence College but it was nice to have a new view out the windows for a change.

Pocket Page design I designed using the cute This Little Piggy stamp set. The Wood Textures DSP Stack. The little fence is so quick and easy. Add some small dots for nails makes it look even better! For one of the 4"x3" pockets I hand cut out a mud puddle for the pig to be in!

I prefer the pig to be brownish grey instead of pink! On these cards the pig is coloured with Water Colour pencils in Basic Grey and Early Espresso before using the Blender Pen to watercolour the images. We will be making these 2 cards along with 6 others at my This Little Piggy class on July 22, click here for details.

Lisa designed the above 12"x12" scrapbook page above and the 3D pocket bellow. I like her flags on the scrapbook page and she used the Chalk marker to write onto the darker wood texture designer series paper.

Please join us on Saturday August 12th in support of Kingston Animal Rescue - sign up here by visiting Crop Kingston's Facebook page - we would love to see you there!

Pink Piggies!!

July 04, 2017 in

Aren't these pink piggy's adorable?! I came across a card on Pinterest made by Kristine McNickle and knew it would be a perfect swap card for my upline's monthly demonstrator meetings! I changed up the colours to use the pinks and purples from the In Colors.

July is a fabulous month to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator! It's Christmas in July!! As a new demonstrator you will receive a FREE Essentials Gift Pack including Paper Snips, SNAIL Adhesive, Grid Paper, two D Blocks (one for them and one for a stamping friend!), and a Bone Folder. That’s an added value of $68 CAN. Stampin' Up! will also include the Carols of Christmas Stamp Set from the holiday catalog for FREE ($26 CAN)! Sign up here for this Christmas in July special!

Scrapbook and Cards Today asked for submissions about Canada Day. I created these 2 samples for them and they posted them on their blog on Canada Day! So neat to see them featured on their blog!!

I originally created this card using the Brick Wall Textured Embossing Folder but when I shared it with my mom she said it looked too cold so I made the above using the Woodland Textured Embossing Folder. It's a good tip, try different backgrounds before gluing your project together to see if another embossing folder would fit better.

For my pocket page I wanted to create a Canada Day layout using non traditional colours. Pictures from Canada Day 2012 fit perfectly with the Color Theory Memories & More card kit. For the explosion card I cut up one of the 4x6 cards and added a strip of whisper white stamped with War of 1812. On the bottom right photo I covered up the few people with a sticker from one of the cardstock sticker sheets that comes with the card pack.

Supplies
Stamps: Colorful Season, Labeler Alphabet
Colours: Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
Accessories: Color Theory Memories & More Card Pack, Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Woodland Textured Impressions embossing folder

Created one of the gift bags and a card from June's Paper Pumpkin kit called One in a Mellon. Did you spot the watermelon tissue paper with seeds? My fav part of the kit.

My wedding anniversary was last week and these are the cards we made for each other.

Last Friday I hosted a Facebook online workshop about the new Memories and More product line - specifically the new Color Theory card pack. The scrapbook page spread above was one of the samples I shared. The snowflakes were cut out using the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and the ombre 4x6 card is a piece of Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack. I will be hosting another online workshop using a different Memories & More card pack on Thursday July 13 from 8pm to 10 pm.

Stamps: Colorful Season
Colours: Dapper Denim, Marina Mist, Whisper White

Copy and SWITCH

June 09, 2017 in
My upline challenged us to create a project by case'ing the Annual Catalogue and then switching up the stamp used on the card to something else! Very neat challenge!

This is the card from Page 152 of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue that I switched up. Instead of having a water coloured background I used the neat design from a sheet of the Color Theory Designer Series Paper. Using the same suite of products my stamps are from the Colorful Season stamp set.

Supplies
Stamps: Colourful Season
Colours: Berry Burst, Dapper Denim, Basic Black
Accessories: Whisper White Baker's Twine, Oval Framelit, Stampin' Dimensionals

This past Saturday was our June Crop with Crop Kingston. This month we raised $100.86 for Crohns and Colitis Canada! It was great to see everyone that was able to make it this month. I hope you had a productive day.
It was so much fun sharing the new In Colors for our make and takes. I wasn't a fan of Lemon Lime Twist until I used it for the above pocket page layout. For the 4"x6" pocket I used the starburst stamp and Lemon Lime Twist for the background. It's a neat colour when stamped the second time without reinking it. And the new 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is very smooth and lovely to use! It adds a nice division between the stamping and writing on the 3"x4" pocket.

A cute pocket to hold some goodies made using a 6"x6" piece of Designer Series Paper.

Lisa designed this really neat card. The Flower image is cut out from the Fresh Florals designer series paper - no stamping required! The only stamping needed was for the "Thanks".

Lisa and I create our projects without seeing what the other is creating. Our two scrapbook pages work so well together! I'm so loving the starburst stamp from the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set, it makes perfect background paper.

You can join us on Saturday July 8th in support of Loving Spoonful - sign up here by visiting Crop Kingston's Facebook page - we would love to see you there!

Supplies
Stamps: Lovely Inside & Out
Colours: Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide, Night of Navy, Dapper Denim and Whisper White
Accessories: Ink Color ribbon, gems

More cards that I made for May's Team meeting using new product! This is the second colour combo I picked out from Stampin' Up!'s suggested In Color combinations, and this combo includes my new fav colour - Fresh Fig.

This is my favourite card that I designed. The black looks neat embossed using the Hexagon 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions folder. This card was our make and take for the meeting.

And a second card using the same colours to show how versatile this stamp set can be!

Supplies
Stamps: Lovely Inside & Out
Colours: Fresh Fig, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Basic Black
Accessories: Hexagons 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Folder, Stitched Shaped Framelits, Clear Faceted Gems, Basic Black Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

~ Amanda
My upline Lisa asked me to create samples for the team meeting in May. She asked me to pick one of the new stamps that Stampin' Up! demonstrators can preorder this month. It was neat to try the new Lovely Inside & Out stamp set and the matching Lovely Woods Thinlits dies. During OnStage in April Stampin' Up! shared with demonstrators some colour combinations for the new 2017-2019 In Colors. I used some of their combinations for my cards.

Stamping Pool Party onto water colour paper makes it look like Mint Macaroon! A note about stamping on Vellum - it takes awhile for the ink to dry before you can adhere it to the card front.

The starburst in this stamp set reminded me of flowers. The easiest way to have a stem for the flowers was to use the branch from the new Colorful Season stamp set (another preorder product!).

Supplies
Stamps: Lovely Inside & Out, Colorful Season (for branches)
Colours: Tranquil Tide, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy
Accessories: Water colour paper, Vellum, Gold Foil Paper, 1-3/4" Circle punch, Stampin' Dimensionals

Made this card for a friend who's very into carpentry and home improvement. The Nailed It! stamp set is perfect for him and it is another stamp I'm going to miss. Think I'll hang onto this one since it's perfect for home reno scrapbook pages! You can still order the Nailed It stampin set before it retires on May 31! I cased this wonderful design from Julie Kettlewell.

I am very excited for the new 2017-2018 Annual catalogue starting on June 1st!! You are invited to join me for my Catalogue Kick off on Sat June 24th at my home.

Supplies
Stamps: Nailed It, Wetlands
Colours: Basic Grey, Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Smokey Slate
Accessories: Urban Underground Designer Series Paper, Build It framelits

I am in love with the Always an Adventure and Outdoor Adventure framelits! But they are retiring at the end of May so make sure to order yourself any retiring items soon! They are great for any card or scrapbook page, and perfect for this pocket page layout from our camping trip in August 2003. I stamped the bear in black to match the colour of my dog's fur. On top of one picture of Hoover sitting in the grass I used the tree framelits to add some dimension to that picture.

Stamps: Always an Adventure
Colours: Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Basic Grey, Smokey Slate, Whisper White, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Night of Navy
Accessories: Outdoor Adventure framelits, fine tip glue pen
For National Scrapbook Day our Crop attendees received the Lift Me Up stamp set with the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper! I used a piece of designer series paper for the balloon cut out and then glued it onto a piece of window sheet to make it look like the balloon was floating in the air. This Project Life page uses Design 1.

This 3D item is created using the Envelope Punch Board. I found some wonderful directions on Pinterest from Debbie Henderson to create this box. The box is closed with Whisper White Baker's twine.

Do you see how Lisa Henderson showed how versatile this stamp and framelit set can be? It's great when there are so many uses for a product! Even if you don't have any pictures of hot air balloons you can chose any picture that will go with this layout.

You can join us on June 3rd in support of Crohns & Colitis - sign up here by visiting Crop Kingston's Facebook page - Lisa and I would love to see you there!

Stamps: Lift Me Up, Layered Letters Alphabet

This pile is only half of 2008! My goal on Saturday at the crop was to organize and try to get some pictures into pocket pages. I was partially successful, organized what was printed and discovered there are a lot more pictures for 2008 than I thought.

Here is one of the pages I was able to complete. I'll have to spend some time sending pictures to print soon, hopefully before the next crop on June 3rd!

Monster Hugs

April 27, 2017 in
This monster reminds me of Sully from Monsters, Inc. Do you see it? I wanted my monster to sparkle and it was so easy to do that with the Clear Wink of Stella. Make sure when you apply the Wink of Stella to your project not to squeeze very hard or else the sparkle might be over powering.

Supplies
Stamps: Yummy in My Tummy
Colours: Crumb Cake, Basic Grey, Mint Macaroon, Basic Black
Accessories: Clear Wink of Stella, Basic Black Baker's Twine

Here is my second swap from OnStage in Toronto. I took 40 swaps with me to OnStage and was able to swap all of them! The trick for swapping is to get it done early in the day.

Supplies
Stamps: Touches of Textures, One Big Meaning
Colours: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Basic Pearl Jewels

~ Amanda
My upline had an event at her house the weekend before OnStage so that those of us attending OnStage in Toronto could create/finish our swaps! It was very productive for me, I was able to complete 20 cards using the Always Adventure stamp set. It was a lot of Big Shot cutting but so worth it.

Supplies
Stamps: Always an Adventure
Colours: Garden Green, Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Accessories: Outdoor Adventure Framelits, Stampin' Dimensionals

Easter Baskets

April 12, 2017 in ,
I really enjoy making thank you gifts for our all day crop attendees. For the April 1st crop I made these cute baskets. Inside I put some premade Easter basket filler and some Carrot Cake Kisses - yum! They really do taste like carrot cake.

The starburst is the really pretty glitter paper that you can earn during Sale-A-Bration!

Onstage 2017 in Toronto

April 11, 2017

This past Saturday was Stampin' Up!'s Onstage event! I was able to attend it in Toronto, Ontario. We were treated to learning about the new upcoming 2017-2018 annual catalogue! The above card was one of my swap cards.

Stamps: Always an Adventure
Colours: Soft Sky, Soft Suede, Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Accessories: Outdoor Adventure framelits, dimensionals

This year Stampin' Up! celebrates 15 years in Canada! Woot! These chocolate cupcakes they had to help celebrate the anniversary were very yummy.

Here I am near the end of the long day of learning & fun!
Do you have trouble with portrait pictures in your scrapbook pages? I do! I find it hard to mix them into my Project Life scrapbooks. But a little planning before printing your pictures can help make it easier. This page uses Design 4 from Variety Pack 1.

These Balloon dies are great for the inside of a card as a pop-up feature but they work well on card fronts as well! The Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies have these cool balloon cut outs. It's best to adhere them using the Fine-tip glue.

The above 2 samples were designed by Lisa Henderson. She used a piece of my fav design found in the Party Animal Designer Series Paper - the Emerald Green with animals wearing party hats! The 3D item has a sucker in it!
You can join us on May 6th in support of Relay for Life - sign up here by visiting Crop Kingston's Facebook page - we'd love to see you there!

Supplies
Stamps: Balloon Adventures, Layered Letters Alphabet
Colours: Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White, Kraft
Accessories: Party Animal Designer Series Paper, Balloon Banquet punch, Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies, Basic Black Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals
