Stocking Team Swap

I had fun creating this card for a recent team swap! This stamp set has a variety of stocking images and also includes some stamps to ink up the images as well. I've used the dots with Real Red ink on the cuff of the stocking. I fussy cut the stocking and glued it onto the Whisper White piece that is layered on a die-cut Mossy Meadow Stitched Rectangle.

Pretty Cards and Paper Blog Hop - Heartwarming Hugs

Hello and welcome! This month's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop is featuring either the Heartwarming Hugs or the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper. I've used the Heartwarming Hugs DSP for my project today.
The Peace & Joy stamp set has bold images that work so well with the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. The hardest part was selecting which piece of paper to use from this pack! My card is a CASE (copy and share everything!) of a card in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. You can find the original sample on page 104. The DSP was cut to 5-3/8" x 3", the Whisper White stamped piece was cut to 5-1/8" x 2-3/4" and the Real Red cardstock is 2-1/8" x 1/2". I love getting inspiration from the catalogues. If you ever get stuck wondering how a project is made in any of our catalogues please contact me and I can look it up for you!

These colours felt like a birthday card combo! And perfect to create a card to send to either my sister-in-law later this month or my brother-in-law next month! Lemon Simply Citrus Cards

I've used the stamp set and colours from the Simply Citrus Kit to create my cards. This kit is so fun to use! I like the cards you can make with the kit but if you add some coordinating cardstock - Just Jade, Calypso Coral and Mango Melody to make the kit stretch even farther.

In The Pines Team Challenge

Last month's Team Creative Challenge was a colour challenge. I chose Just Jade, Cinnamon Cider and Early Espresso from the list of colours Lisa provided us. The Evergreen Forest embossing folder arrived in my order last week and I knew it would be perfect for this card! Thinking of the colours I rifled through my designer series paper and found the Flowers For Every Season designer series paper. I love this design I've used - the pine boughs and greenery piece. It was a perfect pairing for the embossing folder and the In The Pines bundle. The Cinnamon Cider Stitched Rectangle piece is cut from the same pack of DSP.

So Much Love card

This card uses a fun technique although I'm not sure what it's called. I'm calling it the Clear Block Smoosh! I stamped the flower image using Memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock first. Then inked up the Clear Block E using the Soft Sea Foam ink pad, spritzed it with some water and smooshed it onto the stamped Whisper White piece. I did use our regular Whisper White cardstock but I would suggest using either the Thick Whisper White cardstock or the Fluid 100 Watercolour paper instead. Using one of those 2 products should lessen the curling I had at the edges of my piece.

Leaves of Thanks - Kylie's International Blog Highlights

Welcome to my blog! I'm excited to participate in Kylie's Monthly International blog highlights again. You'll find the button a little further in my blog post that will take you to Kylie's blog where you can vote for your top 5 favourites.
Thanksgiving here in Canada is about a week away. I know this year we aren't having big family dinners. Instead I'm sending out cards as a way to say hi and to let people know I'm thinking of them. This card will be one of them!  Autumn is my favourite time of the year so the Plaid Tidings designer series paper and the Gather Together bundle are some of my favourites in the Aug-Dec 2020 Mini Catalogue. My card uses Merry Merlot, Rich Razzelberry and Bumblebee colour combo.

Global Stamping Friends - Changing Seasons

Welcome October and our Global Stamping Friends blog hop! This month our projects are all about the Changing Seasons. I love the autumn but am so not ready for winter!
My newly purchased Snow Front stamp set was the perfect set to use to showcase both Autumn and Winter. Both cards use the Woodland embossing folder and the Layering Ovals dies as well.
First up is my autumn scene. I used Pumpkin Pie and Bumblebee ink for the leaves and added a bit of Pear Pizazz for the grass. Aren't those 2 deer adorable?
For the winter scene I changed not only the embossed cardstock colour but changed the grass to Crumb Cake and left off the leaves as they would be all gone. The little cabin with the smoke rising from the chimney makes it look very cozy!

Crop Kingston's September Pets Virtual Crop

A few weeks ago we held our September Playful Pets Virtual Crop! We used the Playful Pets designer series paper for all of our projects and I wanted to share one of my original layouts (the first picture) and my changed version (the second picture). My changed version uses the same pieces of cardstock, a little different sized designer series paper and more pictures. I have fun creating different layouts using the same cardstock during my live videos in our private Facebook group. This way everyone receives more ideas if what we originally designed doesn't fit your style or maybe the pictures you have!
