If you have the clear Carry On stamp set then it is really easy to stamp the words all together properly. I used one clear block and put both the Keep Calm and the Eat A Cupcake on the same block lined up the way you'd like them to be. Stamp using Versamark and then heat emboss using Pewter Embossing Powder. The final step is to use the Window Framelit to cut out the image.

Stampin' Up!'s leadership was this past weekend. I wasn't able to attend but I did spend a lot of time stalking the forums, Facebook and Twitter for news! And now I want to share that news with you!

At the Stampin' Up! Regional in Hamilton, Ontario back in August we were given the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin' kit for free! The "stamped" images you see (the circle medallions and the Basic Grey and Vanilla strip) are all card stock stickers. To create the medallions I layered a few of the card stock stickers on top of each other and then place a Rhinestone Jewel in the middle! Easy Peasy. I've always had a hard time making titles for my scrapbook pages, so instead I just used our names. I typed them up in My Digital Studio using Basic Grey for the text and then printed them at home onto Cherry Cobbler card stock. Finished off the titles with a square punch to make the banner end.

Still dealing with that Colorado low that has swept across Ontario since Thursday! I'm glad most of the snow fell north of us, but I was on the road north of Belleville this afternoon and the roads were slippery! Thank goodness my father was driving and not me. We came across 2 different accident sites, grateful none were fatalities. I do hope a little more snow falls over night and that it stays. It's great to have snow at Christmas to make it more festive - just as long as the roads are safe for everyone travelling (like me!).

Today's card has some great sparkle! The Silver Glimmer Paper definitely adds pizzazz to any card, you'll have to check back next month when I can share a birthday card I added a little of the Silver Glimmer Paper to.

It's a very interesting colour combination over at Fab Friday:
When I spied this colour combo I was still trying to finish up my Christmas cards! I wasn't sure if these colours would work for me, but I took a bunch of scraps and the way they fell onto the table together inspired this card! For the triple coloured card base I started with a piece of plain printer paper cut to 5.5" x 4.25" and they layered the 3 stripes on top of the plain paper. They run the piece through the Big Shot to create the texture.

Today's card was one I entered to Stampin' Up! for a contest and it didn't win so I thought I would share it with you! For the main image of this card I first embossed both the image and the sentiment in Early Esspresso before using the Big Shot and Labels framelit die to cut out the image. Framelits are great because you can see what part you are cutting out - but always stamp first then cut!

I used Thursday's card: Poppies! as inspiration for today's 3D item - a stamped canvas! Starting with a 5"x7" wrapped canvas, stamp the Pleasant Poppies using Black Stazon directly onto the canvas. Then colour the image using Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Wonder Crayons. For some of the flowers I coloured right onto the canvas, but for the stems and smaller flowers I used a blender pen and took the colour off the bottom of the Watercolor Wonder Crayon and then applied to the canvas. For the grass I used a few different green Watercolor Wonder Crayons directly on the canvas and blurred them together using an Aqua painter. After allowing the piece to dry, it was finished off with a strip of 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon in Lucky Limeade, a punched greeting and a Cherry Cobbler designer button!

I love Cajun Craze Poppies, aren't they fabulous? When I started with Riding Hood Red I knew I wanted to keep in the same colour collection. Stampin' Up! makes it really easy by having colours in collections, they work together so well!

The poppies are embossing in black on water colour paper. Then using Stampin' Write Markers to colour in the images, going over the areas where you want to highlight the poppies. Make sure to leave some white space on the poppies for added dimension! Finish the center of some of the poppies with Early Espresso and colour in the stems using Always Artichoke.

Well, no snow here, yet. Just a little blowing and rain thanks to Hurricane Sandy. But today's page is all about snow!
I had one really good picture of the trees covered in hoar frost and it seemed crazy to devote a whole page to it. So instead I used it for my page background by using a photo box that was 12"x12". The other 2 pictures were from another day in the same month and are highlighted with the frames in the Downtown Grunge Designer Kit. The Perfect Label punch for my journaling was coloured in Whisper White and then I changed the opacity to 60% to create a frosted look. I did the same thing with the flags used for the page's title.

I love the Wonderfall stamp set that matches the Autumn Accent Bigz die. But using just the die and an assortment of Embossing Folders is really cool too! To adhere the Champagne Glass Glitter I used the Tombow Multi-purpose glue with it's fine tip to draw a line of glue along the scallops, then sprinkled the glass glitter on the glue - making sure to shake off the excess! I did use the heat tool to dry the glue quicker.

Had to break out the Silver Glimmer paper. It's great to add a little dazzel to any card! To make today's card I embossed the poppy image in Pewter Embossing Powder onto First Edition Designer Paper, then used the Label Framelit to trim the image. Behind that is a piece of Certainly Celery that was run through the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder and a strip of the Silver Glimmer Paper.

Received my 5 year pin from Stampin' Up! in the mail today! Wow, has it really been that long already? Thanks Stampin' Up! My 5 year anniversary was in September and I forgot until I opened a small envelope with the pin and letter. Love getting happy mail!

Have the leaves changed where you live? I love glancing at the different colours when I drive into work. But I hope the snow doesn't fall too soon! I took inspiration from those leaves for today's card. For the leaves I find it is easier to cut them out with the Big Shot and Autumn Accents die, then stamp them. I always make sure to die cut a few extra leaves just in case!

A cute and sweet smelling card for today: I used the Sugar and Spice embossing powder from the Holiday Catalogue so that this gingerbread guy smells like he's fresh from the oven! First I stamped the image in Versamark and then into Soft Suede before stamping on Very Vanilla card stock. And the even better part? I did not have to cut this delicious guy out by hand - there is a very cool new Holiday Collection framelits to cut this guy out!

I should have started making my Christmas cards last month, it's already the middle of October! Who else is with me? Join me on Sunday October 28th for 1pm at my home to make 10 cards. Cost is $20 and it includes envelopes. RSVP here!

Whew, so many birthdays coming up the next few months! Decided to try the sketch challenge over at Pal Paper Arts to create this fallish birthday card. Here is the sketch:

I've used the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper, Perfectly Preserved stamp set and the Cannery Set Framelits to create this celebrate card! For the jar I cut out 2 of the jar - one from the Very Vanilla card stock and another from a window sheet. I put the 2 apples between the Very Vanilla and Window sheet pieces to make it look like the apples were canned!

Are you loving the fall cooler weather? This is my favourite time of year. I'm looking forward to seeing the leaves change colour. Another chilly morning! And this card reminds me of the warmth of summer! I used water colour paper to add some texture and a piece of baker's twine to tie it all together. The Antique Brad could be another shell! The colours are inspired by the Fab Friday Challenge:

Went looking for challenges today and came across one at the Paper Players - to create a clean and simple project featuring banners. What great inspiration!
The Daffodil Delight Designer Series Paper was crumbled up and spritzed lightly with water, I also ripped a few tears along the edges. Then I used a bone folder to mostly flatten the designer paper. For the banner a piece of Whisper White Baker`s Twine was threaded through the punched pennants and then arranged on the card.
