This pocket page uses the same pack of designer series paper as my last pocket page I shared on Sep 17 - the First Frost Specialty designer series paper but it has a different look and feel to it. This designer series paper is very versatile and I love the silver foil. Although if you watch me colouring in the snowflakes in the video you can tell that bright lights and silver foil make it hard to keep the colour between the lines!
Sympathy Fox
September 19, 2019
in Big Shot, card, die cutting, Embossing Folder
This was one of the cards we made at this month's Cards & Chocolate class. Although this particular card is sympathy you could change the sentiment for any occasion! I may make a few more of this card for Christmas! For card classes I try to show different sentiments but then have a few different ones on hand so that class attendees can choose which would work best for their own cards. The Here's A Card stamp set has come wonderful sentiments for year-round use!
After embossing the Crumb Cake layer with the Woodlands embossing folder we sponged the raised part using a Sponge Dauber and Crumb Cake Ink. We also sponged around the edge of the oval to give it some dimension as well. The Copper Foil piece was glued into the oval and then popped up on dimensionals. A piece of Linen Thread tied in a bow completed the card.
I would love to see you at the next Cards & Chocolate class on Wednesday October 9th. Check out the details on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/events/446114642920993/

Feels Like Frost Pocket Page

in Big Shot, Designer Series Paper, die cutting, Pocket Pages, scrapbooking
These random photos taken in Manitoba, where we lived for a few years, are the perfect match for the Feels Like Frost specialty designer series paper. One side of the designer series paper has photographic images on one side and designs with silver foil on the other.
Real Red and Coastal Cabana Moose
September 10, 2019
in Big Shot, card, Christmas, Designer Series Paper, die cutting
This moose is so adorable! Our team had an in-person holiday card swap at the team meeting on Sunday and I created this card for the swap. Now I have 7 cards for inspiration from team members that I will share them on social media soon.
For this card I decided to use the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper. The picture above doesn't do the paper justice! It has sparkle on one side of some of the designs and coordinates with the Snowman Season stamp set and the Let It Snow Suite. But the sheet I used was perfect to give the feel of snow on the ground or falling snow. Both the moose filled image and the tree are stamped off first to give a lighter look to both. And if you saw my post last month about needing some Real Red ribbon it was for this card! I didn't have any matching ribbon so I used the Real Red Dark Blend to colour the Scalloped Lace Trim before adhering it to my card.
Supplies
Stamps: Merry Moose
Colours: Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Accessories: Moose Punch, Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper, Pine Wood Plank embossing folder, Real Red Dark Stampin' Blend, Stitched Labels die, Scalloped Lace Trim, Red rhinestones Basic Jewels, Vellum cardstock

Early Espresso Deer
September 08, 2019
in Big Shot, Birthday, die cutting, Embossing Folder
The Nature's Beauty stamp set has some very realistic stamps that are perfect for any occasion!
Today's card is one we created at the Cards & Chocolate class in August. Since the Nature's Beauty stamp set does not have any sentiments I paired it with the Here's a Card stamp set from the Annual Catalogue but you could use any sentiment with these images. After stamping the deer we used the light and dark versions of the Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to make the deer stand out.
Supplies
Stamps: Nature's Beauty, Here's a Card
Colours: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake Very Vanilla
Accessories: Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends, Layering Ovals dies, Pine wood Plank embossing folder, Subtle Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals
