Showing posts with label Embossing Folder

Have you ever used the same card design but switched it up a little from either a card you've made or one you saw? Just over a week ago I was lucky to participate in a demonstrator led training day where I learned some new card designs and was inspired! We were also given creative challenges. One of the challenges was to make one card and then for the second card use the first as inspiration and switch it up. My first card is above. The images are cut from the Snail Mail designer series paper - no stamping needed! Even the bonjour word bubble was cut from the DSP. Isn't it cute how the letters are falling out of the parcels?

To switch it up for the second card I rotated the design but used the same dimensions for all the paper. The snail is stamped and found in the Snailed It stamp set. A piece of Real Red cardstock was embossed using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder and the Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. The snail was coloured in using Petal Pink and Real Red Stampin' Blends. To finish the card I added some Snail Mail Twine and Resin Hearts. Which one is your favourite? I think mine is the first card with the mail failing.

Hello and happy Thursday! Today's blog hop is all about LOVE! A month from today is Valentine's Day and this blog hop is a great way to be inspired.
Today is also my Facebook Thursday! Every week I pick a product to create a project and show you how to create it during a Facebook Live. This card features products from the Snail Mail suite! This guy is so adorable. He's cut from one of the sheets found in the Snail Mail designer series paper. The sentiment and heart images are from the Snailed It stamp set, stamped in Pool Party and Real Red. Do you spy the little white resin hearts? A cute little addition to the card.

In case you've never joined me for a Facebook live, I go live every week on Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern on my From Where I Stamp page: https://www.facebook.com/FromWhereIStamp. Everyone is welcome to join! If you are unable to join me live you'll find the recording below:

Happy December 7th! Today is Kylie's Monthly International blog highlights where demonstrators from all over the world share their project using the theme of Thank You. You can vote for your top 5 favourites on Kylie's blog, I hope you enjoy my card and vote for me!
My upline Lisa gave us a colour challenge awhile back to use Rococo Rose, Rich Razzleberry and Petal Pink to create a project. While I'm not a fan of pink (Team Purple here!) I have been challenging myself to create with colours I wouldn't normally. First I stamped different sized snowflakes and my chosen sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock. Originally the white stamped piece was going to be the top part of the card but then I remembered there was Champagne Foil sheets sitting in my drawer waiting to be used. The Champagne foil sheet is cut to 4" x 5.25", then run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine first with a die from the Stitched Rectangles dies and then with the Winter Snow embossing folder. The whole Champagne piece is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals with the white stamped piece glued to the Gray Granite card base.
Tip: Take a piece of printer paper: cut in half so it will fit into the die cut machine (8.5" x 5.5"), then when putting your sandwich together place the printer paper over the foil/die sheet before placing the top plate on. This will protect the foil from imprinting from the top plate.
If you have a moment please vote for my card and check out all the other great projects! Click here to vote. The top 10 winners of this vote will participate in an International Blog Hop later this month.
