How do you decide what colours to use for your projects? Sometimes I will pull ink pads off the shelf and arrange them on my desk to see what colour combination inspires me. Or I'll check Stampin' Up!'s catalogues and see what I can find on Pinterest.

The Peaceful Cabin bundle can be found on page 38 of the Jul-Dec Mini Catalogue and is part of the Peaceful Place Suite. This suite's colour combinations is Smoky Slate, Basic Gray, Black & Silver. For my first order I overlooked the Peaceful Place Specialty designer series paper but spied some projects using this gorgeous paper on Instagram and knew it was joining my DSP collection! It has silver foil on some of the designs.

Welcome to August's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop with our theme of animals. From penguins, to polar bears and deer, the Stampin' Up!'s catalogues have some adorable and realistic images for us to use to create our cards and scrapbook pages.

Can you picture this flamingo dancing? A challenge was given to me at a recent training to pick out a green (or aqua), a yellow, a pink and a blue. It was so hard to pick the colours! Finally decided on: Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam and Pale Papaya. What do you think of the colours chosen? Would you have used a different shade of maybe the green or yellow? Leave a comment below so we can see what other colour combos we can come up with!

Today is my birthday! Of course I started thinking about birthday cards and how easy or intricate in design they can be. A quick and easy card sometimes is needed. Using some designer series paper along with a bold greeting stamp you can create one or a few relatively quickly.
Found in the Annual Catalogue, the Biggest Wish stamp set has 2 different fonts where you can mix and match them together like I have on these cards. What do you think of the bold and scripty fonts?

Were you able to join us for May's virtual crop? We used the Ice Cream Corner designer series paper for our projects and I wanted to share a couple of my scrapbook layouts with you today.
Using strips of designer series paper along with cutting out images from the designer series paper you can create a fun layout like I have above. The main piece of paper I chose from the Ice Cream Corner DSP makes me think of drizzled chocolate. What do you think? To finish off this layout you could use one 4" x 6" picture or even add another photo to the right of the white photo layer.
Do you like Stampin' Up!'s new Fresh Freesia colour? I love that they have a new purple! Or maybe you prefer one of the other new colours?

You could create this card using either the Pretty Perennials stamp set by itself and omit the flower die cuts or add even more die cuts! Tip for you: make sure to add some Adhesive Sheets to your next order if you have a Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. It will make it easy to adhere the small cuts to your next project (click the image below and it will take you directly to the product in my store).

Hi there! Welcome to May's Pretty Cards & Paper Blog Hop. Our projects today are created with either the Pattern Party designer series paper or any of the packs that were available during the preorder.
The Pattern Party designer series paper can be found on page 171 in the Annual Catalogue and is a hefty pack of paper with 48 sheets! This pack of designer series paper is not one you can order but can earn for FREE!
I love this pack of DSP as one side is black and white making it perfect to accentuate the other designs or to colour in. Then the opposite side of each piece is a colourful pattern! Today's cards show off my favourite designs from this pack.
Did you notice the sentiments? They are from the Lighthearted Lines stamp set. The second one makes me think of my Grandmother and her advice: "don't ever get old" along with a line from Star Wars - Return of the Jedi "It's a trap!". The sentiments in this stamp set are quirky and fun. A great addition to your collection.
Interested in earning the Pattern Party designer series paper FREE and connecting with some friends to do some virtual crafting? Stampin' Up! is offering additional host rewards of $30 with qualifying orders. Connect with me to secure your spot on my calendar today.

Next up you can visit these other blogs to see what they are sharing with us today:
