Welcome to August's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop with our theme of animals. From penguins, to polar bears and deer, the Stampin' Up!'s catalogues have some adorable and realistic images for us to use to create our cards and scrapbook pages.

You can find the Hand-Penned Petals bundle, the stamp set and dies used to create this card, in the Annual Catalogue on page 105 along with other items from the Hand-Penned Suite. While I do like the coordinating Hand-Penned designer series paper, I wanted to share that you can choose which designer series paper (DSP) you want to pair with any stamp set. Using DSP that is designed to work with a stamp set or bundle is an easy way to recreate project seen in the catalogue or create your own designs. But sometimes the DSP is either not in our favourite colours, design or perhaps there is already some DSP stashed in your crafting supplies? No, that last one cannot be the case! shhh, I won't tell. I have lots that I haven't used too!

This month some of my favourite designer series papers are on sale for 15% off. Although it's hard to choose just one that is my favourite! Although the new Annual Catalogue started in June I already have 5 of the 9 packs that are on sale this month. Don't have any designer series paper yet or not sure how to use it? Or maybe you love it SO much and can't bear to cut into it? If you need inspiration to use your DSP make sure to check out my posts using DSP here: http://www.fromwhereistamp.ca/search/label/Designer%20Series%20Paper

Welcome to July's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! Our theme is recipe and using the following to create our projects: use Crumb Cake as one of your colours and incorporate food into your project (recipe card, scrapbook page about food, or maybe food related stamp set used).
I had a hard time deciding which of the images would be stamped for this card. Decided to use the sentiment as my guide - dash = salt shaker & spoonful = spoon. Both of these images were stamped directly onto one piece of Basic White cardstock but you could stamp them and die cut them using the Cookin' Dies.

Can you picture this flamingo dancing? A challenge was given to me at a recent training to pick out a green (or aqua), a yellow, a pink and a blue. It was so hard to pick the colours! Finally decided on: Bermuda Bay, Blushing Bride, Soft Sea Foam and Pale Papaya. What do you think of the colours chosen? Would you have used a different shade of maybe the green or yellow? Leave a comment below so we can see what other colour combos we can come up with!

Hello and welcome to June's Pretty Cards and Paper blog hop. You will see projects using either the Expressions In Ink or Hand-Penned designer series paper during the hop.
You can find the Hand-Penned Suite on pages 104 to 105 of the Annual Catalogue. This pack is full of wonderful colours including one of my favourite purples: Highland Heather. One side of each page is beautiful floral designs while the backside is beautiful watercolour washed designs.
There can be a striking and bold impact when using only black and white. And it can be fun to create with limiting your colour choices. A great way to get started is to look for black and white designs in Stampin' Up!'s designer series papers. There are a few you could use, such as the True Love designer series paper from the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue or use the Pattern Party designer series paper in the Annual Catalogue like I have for this card.
Do you like Stampin' Up!'s new Fresh Freesia colour? I love that they have a new purple! Or maybe you prefer one of the other new colours?

You could create this card using either the Pretty Perennials stamp set by itself and omit the flower die cuts or add even more die cuts! Tip for you: make sure to add some Adhesive Sheets to your next order if you have a Stampin' Cut and Emboss machine. It will make it easy to adhere the small cuts to your next project (click the image below and it will take you directly to the product in my store).
The Sweet Valentine's Cards & More pack is adorable and fun to use to create loving cards to hand out for not just Valentine's Day! Weddings, anniversaries and even birthdays or just because. The picture above shows you what is included in the pack. You'll receive enough supplies to create 10 small cards.
An alternative to creating the 4.25" x 3.25" cards that this pack creates you can add some additional cardstock to make full sized 4.25" x 5.5" cards.
For these cards I've cut up a few of the envelopes and the card bases. The scallop die cut cards are so sweet and perfect for adding sentiments. The Well Written dies were used on these cards but these dies are retiring next week. You could add a stamped sentiment or another die cut sentiment if you wished.

I love the textures in the Tasteful Touches stamp set. There is lots of detail with the images and this stamp set has some great sentiments as well. The hello is part of a larger sentiment in the Tasteful Touches stamp set. It was inked up using a Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker then stamped onto a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock.
