Welcome to January's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop! The yummy looking Ice Cream Corner designer series paper is our focus this month. This DSP was perfect to scrap my dad's birthday.
His birthday was earlier this month and with everything we couldn't be together to celebrate. My family has a tradition of sundaes from DQ that we started a few years ago. Everyone gets to choose what they want and we get to celebrate. Once everyone had their sundaes we met on Teams to enjoy and hang out safely.

Hello and welcome to Pretty Cards & Paper December Blog Hop! This month we are using the Peony Garden designer series paper for our projects.
Have you noticed the beautiful projects in our catalogues? I sometimes forget to go through the catalogue and look at just the samples rather than daydream which products I'm going to order next. Do you go back to look at the projects?

This card is a case of one found on page 33 (the middle card). Instead of creating a Christmas card I've switched it up by using the Tasteful Touches stamp set. The hello is part of a larger stamp. The best way to use a portion of a stamp is to use a Stampin' Write Marker, in this case a Basic Black marker, to colour the portion of the stamp you want to use, then stamp as you normally would onto the cardstock.

Next up you can visit these other blogs to see what they are sharing with us today:

Welcome to October's Pretty Cards & Paper Blog Hop and thank you for stopping by! This month we are using the Forever Fern designer series paper.

Some of the designs of the Forever Fern DSP work really well for Christmas like the piece on my card. I think it looks like a waterfall or tall grass. The In The Pines bundle is a good way to make some beautiful cards for Christmas or for other occasions.
Hello and welcome! This month's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop is featuring either the Heartwarming Hugs or the Snowflake Splendor designer series paper. I've used the Heartwarming Hugs DSP for my project today.
The Peace & Joy stamp set has bold images that work so well with the Heartwarming Hugs DSP. The hardest part was selecting which piece of paper to use from this pack! My card is a CASE (copy and share everything!) of a card in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue. You can find the original sample on page 104. The DSP was cut to 5-3/8" x 3", the Whisper White stamped piece was cut to 5-1/8" x 2-3/4" and the Real Red cardstock is 2-1/8" x 1/2". I love getting inspiration from the catalogues. If you ever get stuck wondering how a project is made in any of our catalogues please contact me and I can look it up for you!
Both packs of designer series paper we are featuring this month are included in the 15% off sale along with many of my favourites! View what's on sale here until Oct 31: https://www.stampinup.ca/categories/sales-specials/designer-series-paper-sale?dbwsdemoid=2157916

Welcome to September's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop! This month we are using either Plaid Tidings designer series paper or the Gilded Autumn specialty designer series paper. My card features the Plaid Tidings DSP.
This past Sunday I showed how to do No Line Water Colouring at the team Zoom meeting. For this card I've used the pumpkin stamps from Gather Together stamp set. If you haven't tried No Line Water Colouring before it's best to start with a smaller image like the pumpkins before moving onto a larger image. To colour in the pumpkins I've used So Saffron, Mango Melody & Pumpkin Pie refills with the Water Painters. Make sure to stamp the image using a light coloured ink (stamped off once is better) onto a piece of Fluid 100 Water Colour paper. Below is a picture of most of the items I used to create my card. Not shown is a clear block, So Saffron refill, Memento Black ink and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Marker.

Welcome to August's Pretty Cards & Paper Bog Hop! For August we are using the 6" x 6" Colour paper packs found on page 150 of the Annual Catalogue. I'm using the 2020-2022 In Colour designer series paper for my scrapbook page.
Hello and welcome to July's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop! This month we are using the Flowers For Every Season Designer series paper on our projects. This paper pack has flower images and designs that can be used for every season and it uses the 2020-2022 In Colours.
One of the sheets is a bunch of these beautiful Bumblebee roses. They are gorgeous flowers and makes the card easier to put together. The background flowers are actually partial flowers from the edge of the sheet. I was able to cut 3 full flowers out of one 6" x 6" sheet so you could create 3 cards from one sheet if you wanted to. The sentiment is from the Here's A Card stamp set.

Welcome to the Pretty Cards and Paper Blog Hop. I've been asked to join these talented International Stampin' Up! Demonstrators in a monthly blog hop focusing on the beautiful designer series paper that is available in the our catalogue. This month we are showcasing the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. Make sure to check out all the blogs in the hop for ideas using this months featured DSP, you'll find a list of them after my project.
The In Good Taste designer series paper has 24 double-sided designs that are wood, tile and textile based designs in 12"x12" format. Check out the picture below for all the different designs available in this pack. With such a variety it was hard to pick ones I wanted to use on my card! My eye was drawn to the white stucco design and the dark woven pattern design. To create my card I used coordinating product from the In Good Taste Suite - the Tasteful Touches stamp set, Tasteful Labels Dies and the In Good Taste Elements. Over the white stucco DSP piece the leaves were stamped with Gray Granite ink. The greeting is part of the sentiment "Just Saying Hello". The best way to select part of a stamp is to use a Stampin' Write Marker, I used Basic Black. This way you can colour in the section of the stamp you want. The final touches on the card were the Very Vanilla Lace Trim, the wood element leaves and a few Pearls.
