Pretty Cards and Paper Blog Hop - Forever Fern

 

Welcome to October's Pretty Cards & Paper Blog Hop and thank you for stopping by! This month we are using the Forever Fern designer series paper.

Some of the designs of the Forever Fern DSP work really well for Christmas like the piece on my card. I think it looks like a waterfall or tall grass. The In The Pines bundle is a good way to make some beautiful cards for Christmas or for other occasions. 

 

To create the stamped tree: stamp the detailed part first using Memento black ink, then using the solid image ink the stamp with Shaded Spruce ink, stamp off onto a scrap piece of paper and then stamp over the detailed image. Then die cut using the Pine Wood dies and adhere to your card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

My tip for you: an easy way to adhere the green foil tree to your card is to use a piece of an Adhesive Sheet. Cut down the sheet to the size you need, peel off the protective layer, lay the sticky side down to the backside of the foil piece you will cut and finally burnish the Adhesive Sheet using a Bone Folder to make sure it sticks. Run this piece through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. Peel away the die cut layer! You might have to pull the backing off depending if the die cut all the way through. Now you have a ready to place tree.
