It was great to see so many people at our first all day crop of 2018 this past Saturday! I look forward to each crop - the time away to be creative and spend time talking with friends. In two weeks we have our very first weekend retreat on Feb 9 to 11 - I'm starting to be really excited about it!! If you weren't able to make it to our first retreat we are working on the details for the next one so stay tuned!

The first project I'll share today is a pocket page. The 4x6 journal card was modified from the original card in the pack. Pink is so not my colour and the bottom of the card was pink. I cut around the flower and along the straight line to get rid of the pink band, then glued on a piece of Basic Grey cardstock to the bottom! The flower and the "hello" were shaded first with watercolor pencils and then a blender pen to create a watercolour look.

Very little stamping on the card. The birds and heart image is a 3x4 card cut out using the Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits. From the Heart is stamped in Calypso Coral from the Petal Passion stamp set.

Lisa designed the following 2 projects. First up a simple gift card holder using only items from the Petal Palette Memories & More card pack! One 4x6 and one 3x4 card with one of the large flower stickers on the back (which I should have taken a photo!) The birds and grass were coloured in using the Stampin' Blends.

I love everything about Lisa's scrapbook page! Especially the black and white photos. The Petal Palette Memories & More card pack has 2 cardstock sticker sheets that have the hearts on them and 2 accent sheets that include the words hello from the above pocket page and the smile from the scrapbook page along with other words diecut ready for you to use!

Registration is now open for our next all day crop on Saturday February 24th in support of H'art at St. Lawrence College. Click here to find out more details and to register!

Thank you to all you participated in Saturday's crop, we raised $100 for Run for the Cure! What's even more fantastic? The amount of money that has been raised over the past two years for all the charities we've supported is: $3,344.31 - wow and thank you from both Lisa and I!
This month we featured the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper. This pack has a lot of different patterns that work so well with many different projects. On my pocket page there is very little stamping except for the title.

The gussetted cellophane bags from Stampin' Up! are perfect size for oreo cookies! Add this dragonfly tag on top and it's ready to give away to a friend.

Lisa created these 2 projects. Her card would be perfect for any occasion. No need to add a sentiment on the front - your hand written note inside will say it all!

Lisa's scrapbook page features multiple designs from this paper pack and I like how her design pulls your eye to the photo.

We had a fantastic time at this month's crop! And we raised $331 for Kingston Animal Rescue. Fantastic to see so many people come and craft for the day. I was able to work on scrapbooking pictures from 2008.

This month, in the grab bags, we included the Perfect Days Memories & More card pack. I'm so in love with this card pack! The 2 projects I designed (the card and the 3D item) have greetings from the card pack and no stamping! What?! For the card I used a 3"x4" card that had TODAY on it and added some stickers that are included with the Memories & More card pack. This was the perfect card for my husband's birthday earlier this month.

Tag toppers are so easy to create. Fill up a cellophane bag with some rockets, tie it close, then adhere the tag! The 3"x4" card is a perfect size to create a tag.

This month Lisa designed the scrapbook page and the pocket page! She did a great job with both pages and her little guy's pictures work great with this card pack. On the pocket page's 4"x6" card she coloured each has word separately to make it stand out - a great idea!

This past Saturday was our June Crop with Crop Kingston. This month we raised $100.86 for Crohns and Colitis Canada! It was great to see everyone that was able to make it this month. I hope you had a productive day.
It was so much fun sharing the new In Colors for our make and takes. I wasn't a fan of Lemon Lime Twist until I used it for the above pocket page layout. For the 4"x6" pocket I used the starburst stamp and Lemon Lime Twist for the background. It's a neat colour when stamped the second time without reinking it. And the new 1/2" Finely Woven Ribbon is very smooth and lovely to use! It adds a nice division between the stamping and writing on the 3"x4" pocket.

A cute pocket to hold some goodies made using a 6"x6" piece of Designer Series Paper.

Lisa designed this really neat card. The Flower image is cut out from the Fresh Florals designer series paper - no stamping required! The only stamping needed was for the "Thanks".

Lisa and I create our projects without seeing what the other is creating. Our two scrapbook pages work so well together! I'm so loving the starburst stamp from the Lovely Inside & Out stamp set, it makes perfect background paper.

For National Scrapbook Day our Crop attendees received the Lift Me Up stamp set with the Sale-A-Bration Carried Away Designer Series Paper! I used a piece of designer series paper for the balloon cut out and then glued it onto a piece of window sheet to make it look like the balloon was floating in the air. This Project Life page uses Design 1.

This 3D item is created using the Envelope Punch Board. I found some wonderful directions on Pinterest from Debbie Henderson to create this box. The box is closed with Whisper White Baker's twine.

Do you see how Lisa Henderson showed how versatile this stamp and framelit set can be? It's great when there are so many uses for a product! Even if you don't have any pictures of hot air balloons you can chose any picture that will go with this layout.

Do you have trouble with portrait pictures in your scrapbook pages? I do! I find it hard to mix them into my Project Life scrapbooks. But a little planning before printing your pictures can help make it easier. This page uses Design 4 from Variety Pack 1.

These Balloon dies are great for the inside of a card as a pop-up feature but they work well on card fronts as well! The Balloon Pop-Up Thinlits Dies have these cool balloon cut outs. It's best to adhere them using the Fine-tip glue.

The above 2 samples were designed by Lisa Henderson. She used a piece of my fav design found in the Party Animal Designer Series Paper - the Emerald Green with animals wearing party hats! The 3D item has a sucker in it!

Thank you to everyone who participated in Saturday's crop in support of  Martha's Table. I hope everyone had fun and was able to complete some projects! I was able to work on pictures from 2010 and it's great to see progress in my scrapbook.

The Ferris wheel design of one of the sheets made me think of sunrays. A perfect fit for these pictures from our walk in Lemoine's Point.

The Sprinkles of Life stamp set is so versatile! You can create trees, ice cream cones, cupcakes or basket of flowers!

The Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper stack has some wonderful patterns to create ice cream or cupcake frosting. Lisa Henderson created this 12"x12" scrapbook page and the 3D Mini Treat Bag below:

These adorable little packages are 1" boxes, but smushed so that a Peppermint Patty can fit inside!

When we picked the Sending Love Designer Series Paper Stack for February's Crop in support for Epilepsy Canada I knew the paper would work so well with pictures from Pizza Hut! And the monster stamp from Yummy in My Tummy is a perfect addition. The Project Life page used is Design 2 from the Variety Pack 1.

If the other monster in this stamp set is cute this one makes me think of slime! And Cucumber Crush is the perfect colour for slime! Slime monster is hand cut and then on dimensionals to give her some pop.

Lisa Henderson created this adorable Little Monster scrapbook page with adorable pictures of her son. Even though the Designer Series Paper Stacks are 6"x6" you can put 2 together to create a 12" long panel for your pages!

This creation, designed by Lisa, is made using the Fine Tip Glue to make the monster slimy!

And these were the Thank You gifts we gave out to all the attendees at Saturday's crop! Hersey nuggets are inside each mailbox!

Looks like fun, eh? You can join us for March 4th in support of Martha's Table - sign up here by visiting Crop Kingston's Facebook page - we'd love to see you there!

Saturday's Crop was fun day in support of the Kingston Animal Rescue!

Have you tried black and white photos on your layouts before? These work perfectly with the Smokey Slate (a fav colour of mine). On this page I wrote the people's names directly onto the pictures before sliding them into the pockets. Our Project Life Journaling Pens are perfect to write with and don't smudge when you write onto photos. This Project Life page is Design 5 from Variety Pack 1

You might remember seeing this card from my OnStage Ottawa Display Stamper projects, it's great to reuse an idea to share with others! The stamp set used here is Iconic Occasions Host set found in the 2017 Occasions Catalogue.
These last 2 projects were designed by my upline Lisa Henderson. I love the scrapbook pages that she creates! The fox on her scrapbook is adorable too!

This sour cream container is filled with a few Hersey Kisses and really easy to make using one 6"x6" piece of the A Little Foxy Designer Series stack.
