Have you ever made a card and then later on needed a card for another occasion? I changed the sentinment on both of these cards! It is nice to have cards that a punched greeting can be replaced or added for that need to send out the card yesterday but forgot card.
I used 2 different stamp sets for the leaves and cannot decide which I like better! The top card uses the leaves from French Foliage stamp set and the bottom card uses leaves from Autumn Splendor stamp set.

Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz

What a crazy week! This is the Valentine's Day card I made for my husband. Isn't it lovely? I ordered the Petal Cone die just in time to make this card! To make the card I cut out 2 Petal Cone pieces out of Crumb Cake card stock, then cut one of the tabs off one of the pieces and glued the two pieces together using the other tab. To cover the card base I cut out another Petal Cone shape out of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper and cut off the tab.

The 'love you' swag is part of the Petal Cone Die and then using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored tool I scored the flag on either side of the 'love you' to create the pop up effect.

Stamps: Short and Sweet
Ink: Calypso Coral

Accessories: Heart Framelits, Pearls, Itty Bitty Punches, Paper Piercing Tool, Crumb CakeTaffeta Ribbon, Simply Scored, Big Shot, Petal Cone Die

It finally dawned on me yesterday that Valentine's Day is Tuesday! Really this close already? So I started with 2 special Valentine's for my nephews. The first one started with a Maze Game from Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Mini Catalogue. You know the maze games where the little ball travels to the center? Great little game for kids of all ages!

First I made the scallop square that the Maze Game would end up being stuck to. I took a piece of Basic Grey card stock and a piece of the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper and stuck them together with a piece of the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive. So then I have a 2 sided piece of card stock/DSP which is then cut with the Big Shot and the larger square on the Scallop Squares Duo die.
On the back I put a stamped heart and a little message. The circles on the Twitterpated DSP were the perfect size to hold all the letters! On the front the Maze Game is adhered with Sticky Strip.
For my youngest nephew I created this little card using the same colour scheme. So adorable! Since this little guy is still young there is no maze game on this card.

Supplies
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes, Sprinkled Expressions (SAB)
Ink: Versamark, Island Indigo, Basic Grey
Paper: Basic Grey, Whisper White, Twitterpatted Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Word Window Punch, Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, Maze Game, Big Shot, Labels Framelits, Scallop Squares Duos die, Square Lattice Textured Folder

B-day Ballons!

January 30, 2012 in ,
Did you get some time to stamp over the weekend? I actually made time! Of course a few of those pesky household chores didn't get done but there I was getting Bravo Burgundy ink all over my fingers! I know, I know, this card doesn't have Bravo Burgundy ink anywhere on it, that project I will have to share later on.
Don't you just love those hills? I punch out 2 circles from some Wild Wasabi paper and then trimmed the excess off after gluing them to the Whisper White paper. I only wish that the Wild Wasabi balloon would just veer to the left a little but the stamp slipped right out of my hand and that is where it stayed, at least that's my version of the story! To get the frayed edge of the Calypso Coral mat I used the edge of my scissors.
Supplies
Stamps: Up, Up & Away
Ink: Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand, Calypso Coral
Paper: Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, Sahara Sand, Calypso Coral, Whisper White
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals, 2-1/2" Circle Punch

January 21, 2012 in ,
So many things to share today! First of all, Sale-A-Bration starts on Tuesday January 24th!! Check back here on Tuesday to see all the details and a scrapbook page I designed using free Sale-A-Bration product!

This past week Stampin' Up! held their annual Leadership down in San Antonio, Texas. One of these years I will get there! But this year Stampin' Up! shared news and pictures and more on their Facebook Page about this event it was almost like being there. And there were a lot of really exciting announcements made!

On February 1 Stampin' Up! will be releasing a FREE 30-day trial version of My Digital Studio Express! I love My Digital Studio and would love to share what you can do with it. I will share more details about this fabulous freebie when I hear more! While you wait why don't we get together and see what My Digital Studio is all about? Contact me to set up a date!

A new product! The Simply Scored Diagonal Plate will be available March 1! It will be perfect for scoring envelopes, boxes and more. Note this is not a video about the Diagonal Plate, but really funny to watch as Stampin' Up! employees do a happy dance to celebrate a new product: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=3106806678813

And finally upcoming changes to our catalogues! The current catalogue will be ending on May 31, 2012 instead of the end of June. This year there will be no Summer Mini Catalogue. A new yearly catalogue will start June 1, 2012 and then in August there will be a Holiday Catalogue and a Spring Catalogue in January 2013. That means preorder comes early this year! Oh I can't wait to see the new In Colors and new stamps!

So back to my card. I demonstrated this card a workshop this past Monday. A nice simple card for Valentine's Day. The dotted heart is stamped onto the top note die, then I cut out the Cherry Cobbler heart and glued it in the center of the dotted heart. After stamping the greeting, you wrap a piece of 1-1/4" grosgrain ribbon around the card, then place a stamped and cut out wood grain heart on a Stampin' Dimensional on the ribbon and lastly arrange 3 rhinestones on the left side of the card.

Supplies
Stamps: I {Heart} Hearts, Short and Sweet
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Whisper White
Accessories: Pretty In Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Rhinestones, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Top Note Die

Lighted Luminaria

December 19, 2011 in ,
Lighted luminarias are very popular right now! They are really easy to make when you start with the Big Shot and the Fancy Favor Die.

After cutting out the Fancy Favor box I adhered a piece of torn Whisper White card stock to the bottom to make the snow. The "stamped" elements are actually from the Christmas Village Stamp Brush Set in My Digital Studio (the same stamp set I used for my blog header). I also punched out the circle window before assembling the box. The vellum window was stamped on with Versamark ink to look like snow was falling and Dazzling Details was added around the window. Inside my luminaria is a battery operated candle to make it flicker.

Supplies
Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, My Digital Studio: Christmas Village Stamp Brush Set
Ink: Versamark, Various Markers
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Vellum
Accessories: Dazzling Details, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, My Digital Studio, Big Shot, Fancy Favor Die

House in a Bulb!

December 17, 2011 in ,

There are so many things you can do with clear bulbs! Last year I used reinkers and dazzling diamonds glitter to make beautiful glittery bulbs for my Christmas tree. This year I decided to use a few of the left over bulbs to make some new ornaments - ones with circle inserts.
First you cut out a 2-1/2" circle from a Window Sheet, then stamp your choice of Christmas theme image onto the Window Sheet in Stazon Black. Then punch out a 2-1/2" circle of Big Shot Multipupose Adhesive Sheet and adhere to the back of the stamped window sheet. After peeling the cover off the adhesive now on the back of the Window sheet, sprinkle some glitter to make the image shine! Next pour a little glitter into the clear ornament and add some fake snow. Then roll up the stamped glittery image so that it will fit into the ornament's hole. After it's in the ornament it will pop back to a circle and it's like a ship in a bottle!
Supplies
Stamps: Christmas Lodge, Welcome Christmas
Ink: Black Stazon
Paper: Window Sheet
Accessories: Circle cutter, Big Shot Multi-purpose Adhesive Sheet, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon, Clear ornament, fake snow

Star Ornaments

December 17, 2011 in ,

These acrylic stars were crying out for some extra love! I would have loved to use some White Stazon ink but I forgot to add that to my last order. So instead I pulled out the Versamark and pewter embossing powder. The Merry Christmas was stamped in Black Stazon on Vellum to make sure the ink did not smear when I was assembling the ornaments.

Supplies
Stamps: Christmas greeting, Winter Post
Ink: Versamark, Black Stazon
Paper: Vellum
Accessories: Pewter Embossing Powder, Glue Dots, Old Olive Taffeta Ribbon, Star ornaments

Repurposed Ornaments

December 12, 2011 in
My husband and I put up our tree last Thursday. Followed our now 3 year tradition to trek to the good olde Canadian Tire across the road from work and picked out a beautiful Fraser Fir for our living room!
While we were trimming the tree I came across these snowflakes that I bought about 10 years ago. They did have a rosette and some glittery ribbon on them but I have to agree with my husband they were hideous! So I pried off the hot glued hideousness and glammed them up with some ribbon, Jingle Bells and a little ivy! All with the help of some Glue Dots.
Supplies
Stamps: none
Ink: none
Paper: Pear Pizzazz
Accessories: Island Indigo Ruffled Ribbon, Glue Dots, Mini Jingle Bells, Retired Silver Cord, Snowflake ornament

Sending Wishes

December 11, 2011 in

Here's a tip to make things a little smoother: I have a stack of Very Vanilla and Whisper White Top Notes pre cut and ready for any card! Mostly I used these for the inside of my cards but they're great on the card front too! I keep these stacks in one clear mount stamp case. You can fit 2 big stacks of pre cut top notes to last a long time, or one stamp camp, which ever comes first!

So this card started with just a top note and the Christmas Lodge stamp set. The trees are stamped along the bottom, a few of them are stamped off on a scrap piece of paper first to get the lighter trees to give the card some dimension. To finish the top note, the greeting is embossed in black.

Supplies
Stamps: Christmas Lodge
Ink: Versamark, Certainly Celery
Paper: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Certainly Celery
Accessories: Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon, Black Embossing Powder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Big Shot, Top Note Die

Merry Suede!

December 09, 2011 in

Well this card turned out a little different than what I was going for and at first I did not like it but I think it's growing on me! The snowflakes on the background were stamped with Soft Suede with the little kids stamped in Early Espresso. To get the right angled cuts for the two strips I used the square punch on an angle.

Supplies
Stamps: Welcome Christmas, Serene Snowflakes, Christmas Greetings
Ink: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Soft Suede
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive
Accessories: Dotted Ribbon Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Square Punch, 2-1/2" Circle Punch

Season's Greetings!

December 08, 2011 in
Yum, those candy canes look yummy! Are you liking the countdown so far? The images at the top of each post are from the 25 and Counting Stamp Brush Set with My Digital Studio.

Okay, I know today is the 8th, but I completely forgot to post this last night before bed! I'll be back later to post Count Down #8.

This card is nice and simple. For this card my challenge was to not use the Big Shot for anything! That was really hard since there are so many things you can do with the Big Shot! But I prevailed. I found the easiest way to add some pizzazz to this card was to put the greeting on Stampin' Dimensionals. And the little bit of ribbon to the wreath makes it pop!

Supplies
Stamps: Welcome Christmas
Ink: Garden Green, Riding hood Red (same colours for Stampin' Write Markers)
Paper: Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Whisper White
Accessories: Riding hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Glue Dot

Snowflakes!

December 06, 2011 in ,
Still no snow around here, thank goodness! I hate driving in the snow so it can stay away on days I have to go places. But I do hope that there will be some snow for Christmas, because it wouldn't be Christmas without snow!
Both of these cards are made using the same products, except one has rhinestones and the other pearls to show the difference that little embellishment makes to any card!
Supplies
Stamps: Four the Holidays, Serene Snowflakes
Ink: Night of Navy, Baja Breeze
Paper: Night of Navy, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Crumb Cake Taffeta ribbon, Scallop Border Punch, Rhinestones and Pearls, Sticky Strip
