Hello and welcome! Today I am participating in a global blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. This month's theme is Anything But A Card and since I love pocket page scrapbooking I just had to share this one:

Lovely as a Tree stamp set is so versatile! The pine tree was perfect for a watercolour technique for this pocket page. After inking the pine tree with Emerald Envy ink I spritzed it with water and then stamped onto the watercolour paper. That created the darker more smooched trees. For the other versions I inked up the stamp, stamped it on my grid paper and then spritzed it with water before stamping on the watercolour paper. It's fun to try different combinations of ink saturation and water saturation! To get the splatters I used my Aquapainter and Emerald Envy ink and tapped the Aquapainter to spray the colour onto the watercolour paper. After it was dry, Wink of Stella was added to give the trees some shimmer.

Supplies

Accessories: Watercolour paper, Basic Black Bakers Twine, Layering Circles Framelits, Seasonal Layers Framelits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Wink of Stella, Aquapainter, Memories and More Journal Pens, Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder

Blog Hop Participant List:

Vellum Snowflake

October 27, 2017 in , ,
My Up line hosted a Shoebox swap earlier this month and this is the card I had prepped for us to make. The Drink and be Merry stamp actually says Eat, Drink and be Merry but we used a sticky note to cover the "eat," part of the stamp since it would not fit into the circle. To adhere the vellum to the card we used Tear & Tape Adhesive behind the circles and a Mini Glue Dot behind the Rhinestones. That way you don't see the adhesive thru the vellum!

Supplies
Stamps: Merry Little Labels
Colours: Basic Black, Tranquil Tide, Smokey Slate, Real Red foil sheet, Vellum
Accessories: Layering Circles thinlits, Silver Mini Sequin Trim, Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Folder, Merry Little Christmas designer series paper, Rhinestone jewels

I'm not looking forward to the snow coming again but I do love taking pictures of how pretty it makes everything! The above layout is about our first snowfall in our new house and how it changed how everything looked.

The snowflake stickers are from the Memories & More card pack. It's awesome that there are embellishments as well as 3"x4" and 4"x6" cards!

If you would like to see the cards in this kit head over to YouTube to see Stampin' Up!'s video here.

Do you need some scrapbooking time in November? Join us on Saturday November 18th at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, ON. Head on over to the event page to sign up, cost is $30. Deadline to sign up is November 1st! Hope to see you there.

Here are 2 cards I designed to showcase the Merry Patterns stamp set for a demonstrator meeting earlier this month. I created the same card twice but the second card is a stepped up version. On the above card the sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink and then Cherry Cobbler Ink.

The sentiment on the second card is stamped with Versamark ink and embossed in gold. As an additional embellishment the punched image of holly and berries was added. After making the second card I noticed that the cards looked different since the designer series paper around the edge is more white than black. Both were cut from the same sheet but different sides. It's strange!

Supplies
Stamps: Merry Patterns
Colours: Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Basic Black
Accessories: Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, Holly & Berries punch, Gold Embossing Powder, Versamark Ink

Have to say that I'm in love with the deer from the Merry Patterns stamp set! And how well it pairs with the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper. The deer was fussy cut and the mini dimensionals to lift it.

Accessories: Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Hearts & Stars Wooden embellishment, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Layering Circles framelits, Basic Black Embossing Powder
