The other day I was over at mydigitalstudio.net looking for some inspiration for my East Coast 2012 Trip book and checked out the current challenge - Color Combo 4 using Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, So Saffron, and Smoky Slate. So I decided to try those colours on some beautiful sunset pictures taken at Cabot Beach Provincial Park in PEI. I used the colouring tool to add 3 different colours to each of the crab and shells stamps. I also recoloured a few brads and the stitching. You can still join the challenge until Friday July 12 at noon MT to win the prize - a free download from next Tuesday!

In My Digital Studio it is so easy to create my own background papers with stamps! Here I used an off white for the page base (used the match colour tool to pick a shade from the Downtown Grunge frame) and then randomly added some stamp images from By The Seashore stamp set. I'm really loving using one of the Downtown Grunge frames to highlight one picture on each of the pages in my East Coast Trip book! Off to create some more pages to share!

Isn't he so small and precious? Hard to believe looking at him now that he was ever that small to fit in 2 hands! This will be part of my East Coast Trip 2012 MDS 12x12 scrapbook that I'm currently working on. A year has flown by since we took the trip and its time to put the pictures into a book! I decided to do the whole thing through My Digital Studio because I have so many photos - well over a 1000!! Yikes!

To create the background I layered 2 different stamps, the quatrefoil in Night of Navy and another in Sahara Sand to create the sponged look of the quatrefoil.

So today's blog post is my application to be a Stampin' Up! display stamper! Basic Grey, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White is very crisp and spring like. I'm looking forward to spring and seeing the daffodils and tulips outside my stamp room window! But today it's freezing rain warnings and staying warm inside!

The Tea Lace Doily is from the Spring Catalogue. I stamped directly onto the doily using Basic Grey. I think the best adhesive for the doilies is Glue Dots. I tired the Tombow Multi-purpose adhesive but it showed the hexagon shape through the doily so I won't use that again.

Isn't the Two by Two stamp cute? On Saturday I attended a baby shower for a friend and I made her this card. I used Black Stazon Ink so when I was colouring in the image with the markers the image wouldn't smudge. And the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder is the best background for this card!

Also gave her this cute Diaper Owl Cake. It was really easy to make and a very interesting way to give a friend some diapers, wash cloths, hooded towel and bib!

The RMHC stamp set Moving Forward is perfect for baby cards! I made this one for a stamping friend who had a baby before Christmas. I think the Silver Glimmer paper really helps the image pop on this one. I'm going to try using the Silver Glimmer Paper more since this year is Stampin' Up!'s 25th Anniversary!
