Do you like pine trees? I think pine trees are one of my favourite objects to take pictures of, second only to taking pictures of neat looking clouds. Why am I talking about pine trees? Today's project shows how you can create some cardstock pine trees and create a Christmas scrapbook layout using the Tree Lot Dies.

There are some fun layers in the Tree Lot dies. The cardstock colours chosen for the trees were pulled from the Painted Christmas designer series paper (DSP) that is a returning favourite from last year! Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and Evening Evergreen were die cut and glued together using the Adhesive Sheets. The Adhesive Sheets are thin double-sided adhesive that you pull off one side and put the sticky side down on the cardstock, die cut your pine tree intricate die then peel off the second backing and stick to the full pine tree die cut. No glue escapes onto your fingers, your project or your workspace! It's awesome stuff.

For this layout I've used the Crumb Cake cardstock as photo layers. Each is 0.25" bigger than the pictures I plan to put on them. 4.25" x 4.25", 4.25" x 6.25" and 5.25" x 4.25". You could use part of one or a whole one for your journaling or add a piece of Basic White cardstock above the square photo layer.
A closer look at the detail of the page. Embellishments added were the gold trim found in the Simply Elegant Trim package and some gold dots from the Brushed Metallic Adhesive-backed dots. Adding a few embellishments to your scrapbook layout ties all the elements together.
