New Old Truck

February 23, 2011 in ,

The above card was one I designed for my Stamp Camp this past Saturday. I thought it had turned out alright but some of the ladies just did not agree! I love how they make each design their own! It is so great to see what others come up with using the same materials. And they get inspiration from each other too! That is what is so cool about being a demonstrator, showing others how to be creative and seeing their reactions when others like what they did too! Do you like being creative? Become a demonstrator today during Sale-A-Bration - hop over here for all the information.

Below is another card made Saturday by my mom.

My mother bought the Have a Seat stamp set and then asked me for inspiration! This set was kinda hard to get an idea for. As usual I searched the Internet for inspiration, checked out what other Demonstrators had posted on Stampin' Connection and then hid in my stamp room for awhile trying out different colours and layouts. And this is what I came up with. There are 3 other chair images in this set that did not get inked yet so I might have to revisit this one again.

Supplies
Stamps: Have a Seat, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Versamark
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Green House Gala designer series paper

2 Owls!

February 17, 2011 in , ,
Aren't these owls adorable? At my last workshop a few weeks ago a friend of mine spotted this card in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue on page 200 and decided it would be the perfect card for her daughter's bridal shower invitation! Yesterday after our workshop order arrived I just had to make a copy for her to see. I'm so loving these owls, still not sure how I've held out this long without owing that punch yet! I really hope this was what she was looking for.

Supplies
Stamps: Wedding Sweet
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Early Espresso, Old Olive, Peach Parfait, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla, In Color Designer Series paper (hostess)

Accessories: Real Red designer button, linen thread, Real Red satin ribbon, medium oval punch, glue dot, stampin' dimensionals, Big Shot, Hearts and Brackets Die, heart shaped tin

I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day!

Stampin' Up! has compiled a great new resource - a My Digital Studio Catalogue PDF. It includes all of the MDS software artwork (contained in the original product) AND visuals of all the downloads from the October 2009 launch through January 2011. Because MDS is regularly coming out with new artwork, the catalog will be updated every month and available to you on MyDigitalStudio.net in the Resources Section.  You can use the catalog as a resource to manage the downloads you have and which ones you still want to purchase.

I whipped up this card in less than 10 minutes this morning before work. Started with a template card, change the background paper, added a strip of Soft Suede down the left side with the Early Espresso scalloped border and added in the scalloped oval punch. Voila! Note to self: I need to use My Digital Studio more often because it is quick and easy to use!

Supplies (All Digital supplies)
Stamps: For All You Do
Ink: Baja Breeze, Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso
Paper: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Elegant Soiree Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Silver brad, scallop oval punch, scallop edge punch

I love my Big Shot! The only stamping on this card is the word sweet on the Riding Hood Red heart. I used the Sweet Treats stamp from Teeny Tiny Wishes - only highlighting the word sweet with my black ink pad. The big heart is from the Hearts and Bracket dies. The little hearts are the Heart to Heart punch. And of course Valentine's Day card wouldn't be complete without a diamond!
Supplies
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Basic Black, First Edition Designer Series Paper
Accessories: Rhinestones, Basic Black satin ribbon, stampin' dimensionals, Heart to Heart Punch, Big Shot, sticky strip, Hearts and Brackets Bigz die, Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder

Can you see the shimmer on the rose? I stamped the rose in Real Red onto watercolour paper then went over the whole image with a foam brush and some Frost White Shimmer Paint. The shimmer paint picked up some of the red and coloured the rose in for me! So cool! The centre of the rose was partially coloured in with a Real Red stampin' write marker then brushed over again to let it sparkle too.

Here is a close up of the Wallpaper Impressions folder on the First Edition Designer Series Paper and the shimmer of the rose.

Supplies
Stamps:  Fifth Avenue Floral, Curly Cute
Ink: Real Red, Pink Pirouette
Paper: Real Red, Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, First Edition Designer Series Paper, watercolour paper
Accessories: Very Vanilla satin ribbon, pearls, stampin' dimensionals, Frost White Shimmer Paint, foam brush, Big Shot, Hearts and Brackets die, Little Leaves Sizzlit

It's snowy outside! Wow the schools are closed and the place I work for is actually closed! I work with my family and we're never closed. But today my grandparent's thought it was too dangerous to go to work so home we all stay!

Now I have not made it to my studio yet today but I wanted to share a card I made a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday. For this card I started with a piece of Woodland Walk designer series paper and decided to go for a monochromatic look. The strip of Garden Green was first stamped with the Woodgrain background stamp, then the pine tree from Lovely As A Tree was embossed with gold.

Supplies
Stamps: Lovely As a Tree, Short and Sweet, Woodgrain background
Ink: Garden Green, Versamark
Paper: Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Crumb Cake, Woodland Walk designer series paper
Accessories: Very Vanilla seam binding, decorative label punch, gold embossing powder, sticky strip
