What adhesive to use on your scrapbook pages?

Choosing the right adhesive is important to ensure that your scrapbooking creations stand the test of time. You don't want to flip open a scrapbook to see photos or cardstock falling off the pages! I've had to adhere some items onto pages before when I first started scrapbooking and it's not a nice feeling to see a page you worked so hard on fall apart. Read on for what I use and what you need to use for your crafting needs.

picture of adhesives by Stampin' Up!, included are Stampin' Dimensionals, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, Black Stampin' Dimensionals, Tear and Tape, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Seal.

You do not need all the adhesives that Stampin' Up! have but having multiple types of adhesive will help you create. There are 4 adhesives that I highly recommend you have in your crafting kit. The four adhesives I use on every layout are:

I know there are crafters out there that do not like the Multipurpose Liquid Glue (in the green and white bottle). It's my favourite to use on all my projects! You have a few moments to move or shimmy your piece before it is forever stuck. The liquid glue is acid free. An alternative is to use the Stampin' Seal or the Tear and Tape. My recommendation is to try a few adhesives to see which you like best and feel confident using.

Stampin' Seal is what I use to adhere my photos onto my scrapbook layouts. It's acid free and is marked as a permanent adhesive although if you use a little on the corners of your photos you can pull up photos if needed off your page.

Elevate your creativity by adding dimension to your scrapbook layouts to make them pop. Stampin' Dimensionals are double-sided foam adhesive dots that add depth and visual interest to your projects. They are available in regular size, mini size and also Black combo pack.

Shown in the photo is Foam Adhesive Sheets and Foam Adhesive Strips

There are also other adhesives that are similar to the Stampin' Dimensionals, the Foam Adhesive Sheets and Foam Adhesive Strips. The Sheets are great to die cut to make letters that pop off your page and the Strips are great to create shaker frames or cards. I haven't used the Foam Adhesive Sheets yet! I bought them thinking to use them to make a fun popped up title. Maybe I will create with them soon.

Whether you are creating 12" x 12" scrapbook layouts or pocket pages these adhesives keep your photos, cardstock, designer series paper and embellishments on your pages.
