Fall Pocket Page Inspiration!

Happy Thanksgiving to us Canadians this weekend! As the days get shorter and the leaves fall a great way to relax is to save your photos and memories in pocket pages. Slip your photos into the pockets then fill in the rest of the pockets with either designer series paper or cardstock.

Thanksgiving Pocket Page two page spread

I find pocket scrapbooking easier as you're looking at a smaller design area. The smaller pockets are 3" x 4" in size and you can either cut your photo down to fit or before printing combine 2 pictures onto one 4" x 6" print then cut it in half to fill the pockets. But you can fill the smaller pockets with designer series paper or cardstock instead if you don't want to have smaller photos. The larger pockets are just right for 4" x 6" photos, which is the main photo size I print. I was able to create these 3 pages fairly quickly even with some stamped embellishments.

The top left pocket of the page above is the copper foil side of the All About Autumn designer series paper. I left the opposite side of it as is and it almost looks like a photo I took at my parent's place that Thanksgiving. If you would like to view the supply list for this scrapbook layout? The bold font in the Biggest Wish stamp set is perfect to stamp mulitple times to create a title pocket. I used Mossy Meadow ink for the main Thanks, then used Copper Clay for the other Thanks. The leaves were stamped from the Pick of the Patch stamp set and punch bundle. I added more leaves to the third page and if you watch the video below you'll notice that I didn't clue in that the coordinating punch punches out the largest leaf so I fussy cut all the little leaves. Then I lost some of the leaves. Found them after I was done recording the video when Flynn ate them as they had fallen onto the floor. Thankfully the ink is non-toxic.

Pocket Page Scrapbooking Idea for Fall

I find Pocket Page scrapbooking easy because you slide in your photos and decorate either 4" x 6" or 3" x 4" pockets. Watch this video to see how I created this 3 page pocket layout.
