Have you tried stamping onto designer series paper? For this card you need one suite of products to create this card. Stampin' Up!'s Abstract Beauty Suite is fun and abstract-y. I know, not a word but it sounded good in my head. I'll just go with it. To create this card you could use the normal sized card base, which is half a sheet of cardstock but included in the Abstract Beauty Suite are the Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes. If you watch this Instagram Reel you can see that I started with one of the cards that has a black watercolour wash on it. For any of the cards you can either cover it up with pretty designer series paper (DSP) or add stamped image, pieces of DSP or die cut images.
This card is great for beginner stampers as you don't need to have a die cutting machine (the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine) to create it. If you haven't added the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine to your crafting stash then you may want to order individual pieces from this Suite.
I love the bold designs in the Hello Beautiful stamp set. It is a Photopolymer stamp set, meaning you can see through the stamp to the paper you are stamping on. And you can, most times, layer 2 stamps onto 1 block for ease of stamping. I put two flowers on one block to stamp faster but it doesn't always work. If you are going to try two stamps on one block, I suggest stamping a few trial images first to make sure the stamp cleanly. Sometimes the thickness of the stamps can be a little different and that can cause images to not stamp nicely.
The Abstract Beauty designer series paper is a special size. It's 4" x 6", which is just the right size to completely cover the card bases in the Abstract Beauty Cards & Envelopes or trim down the longer side to 5.25" and it's the perfect layering size for what I call normal card bases. This pack of DSP has some bright designs and some designs have a gold foil accent added to it. It's hard to chose my favourite design in this pack.
