Hello and welcome to January's Technique Tuesday blog hop! Today we are sharing projects featuring the watercolouring technique.

I love the look of strawberries but did you know I'm allergic? It's sad but true! In the new Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue, just released today, there is the new Sweet Strawberry bundle. This bundle includes the Sweet Strawberry photopolymer stamp set and the Strawberry builder punch. The leaves were cut out using that punch. Sale-A-Bration also starts today and there is a matching stamp & designer series paper bundle called the Berry Blessings bundle. The designer series paper on this card comes from that bundle.
To create the background start with a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolour paper. Squeeze a few drops of Real Red ink onto a clear block, then using the Water Painters squeeze a few drops of water on top of the ink. Add extra water for a more subtle look and less water for a darker blob. Gather the ink & water mixture up using the medium sized water painter and make the blob at the bottom half of the watercolour paper about the size needed for 2 berries. For the top greens use a mixture of Garden Green and Granny Apple Green ink refills and water. Make sure to put the lighter colour down first, then carefully added the darker colour but try to not use a lot of water. In the above picture I used the stamp set to help me see where the leaves would end up so I could add the Garden Green accent to that part of the blob. Make sure to let your watercolour paper dry completely before stamping.
