So many cool things to share with the release of the Occasions Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogues on Tues January 5th! To receive either of these catalogues for your enjoyment and pleasure please email me or check for upcoming events.

Clear mount rubber stamps!
Over the past few years, there has been enormous demand from demonstrators and customers alike for a line of repositionable clear-mount stamps. Well, you asked for it, and now you have it! Starting with stamps in the 2010 Occasions Mini Catalogue and 2010 Sale-A-Bration brochure, Stampin' Up! now offers our exclusive stamp art in both traditional wood-mount, and the new clear-mount options.

- Nine different sizes of clear blocks available individually or as a discounted bundle.
- Blocks have ergonomic grooves on all four sides for easy grip and traditional wood-mount feel.
- Stamps and blocks are durable and easy to clean with your Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist.
- Optional image labels on stamp backs let you decide if you want to see the image through the block or not.
- Tight die-cutting for easy image positioning.
- Large clear blocks can be used to create collages or spell words with alphabet sets.
- Stamps store easily in standard, DVD-type cases with artwork on front and spine, making organization easy.

New Punch Design!

A few features of the new punch style:
- Low-profile, rectangular punch body allows for easier stacking and storing
- Punches lock shut for easier storage and transport
- Dual labels on top and end allow for easy identification and selection when stored
- Available in three sizes: small, medium, and extra-large
- New punches allow for larger punched images and more intricate designs while providing greater ease of use.
- Extra -large punch images also allow for two-step designs like the Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini Catalogue
- Corner punches allow you to punch a corner design along the inside edges of a page, not just corners
- Larger, whole-hand handle design provides better leverage for easier use

Happy New Year!

January 03, 2010 in ,
Hello dear friends! Many might be wondering where I've been the past 2 months. I have been very busy. The sort of busy that goes along with packing, sorting and moving into a new house that requires paint, flooring, closet shelves (still working on that one!) oh and relocating my office - moved downstairs because my fav stamping desk would not fit into the doorway to the spare room. And then toss Christmas into the mix and stir! I am so glad it is January!

I've finally had some time to unpack my stamping supplies and work on a few cards the last few days. Just in time to get ready for new supplies! The Ocassions Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration all start this Tuesday January 5th. Some of my preorder goodies are arriving early this week, so I will be playing with them and posting all the info Tuesday and Wednesday.

Coming up Saturday January 30th, 2010 I am hosting a Variety Stamp Camp at my new home in Amherstview, Ontario. Cost will be $20 for 15 cards. The cards will be geared towards Thank-yous and sympathy but the sentiment can be changed for birthday or other variety. I will post more details by the weekend over here.

Now onto my first card of 2010!

A crackled vintage look...

November 01, 2009 in
For the past week I have been producing 80 some odd Christmas cards for a customer of mine, she said that it would be nice to have them the first week of November. And almost a week ago I looked at the calendar and oh fiddlesticks November is like next week!

So after holidays and a stack of 80 cards this is what my desk looked liked. I also had to design some cards for this weekend's Stamp-A-Stack but there were a few scrapbook pages tossed in the mix too. (Can you spy the mint Girl Guide cookie?)

Doing the cracked glass technique on the above card twenty times over is time consuming! But I really like the vintage look it creates once you get it out of the freezer and spread some ink into the cracks.

Supplies
Stamps: Winter Post
Ink: Stazon Black Ink, Very Vanilla, Versmark
Paper: Ruby Red, Very Vanilla, Kraft
Accessories: Sleigh Bells Ribbon, glossy glaze embossing powder, Stampin' Write markers, sponge dauber, sticky strip

This year's In Colors are very bright. So I challenged myself to use one In Color and match it up to 2 neutrals to see what I could come up with. The large grommet fits really well inside the black stamped circle. I used a 1/2" cricle punch to punch through the Whisper White and Melon Mambo cardstock (seperately though) so that a little bit of black would show through the design.

Supplies
Stamps: Circle Circus, All Holidays
Ink: Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Paper: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Whisper White
Accessories: Large Grommets, 1/2" cricle punch, stampin dimensionals

This second card is inspired by my aunt's version that she completed at my last workshop. She changed up the design a bit and created a card I never would have come up with. I changed the In Color to Bermuda Bay instead of Melon Mambo and voila!

Supplies
Stamps: Circle Circus, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Basic Black, Sahara Sand
Paper: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories: Large Grommets, 1/2" cricle punch, stampin dimensionals
