This year I am very thankful to have my mom really close by. I've missed having her there for me and being there for her. Now I can be there if she needs me, especially now that she has so many things on her plate. I hope she enjoyed this card as much as I did making it! I ordered the All Holidays stamp set since it has a whole mix of greetings. I must say that my source of word sets is very limited.

For the card I started with Whisper White as the card base. The pretty-in-pink Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Level 1 Hostess Set, Prints Pack. The flower is stamped on whisper white with Versamark and then embossed in black. I used my Wondercolour Wonder crayons to colour in the petals. The background behind the flowers was kinda messed from the black embossing powder, and I know it doesn't show up too well here, but it make it look better I used a sponge dauber to put Pretty In Pink pastel all over the white. The ribbon was added to make it look like a bouquet of flowers.

Stamps: All Holidays, Embrace Life
Ink: Versamark, Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Pretty In Pink DSP
Accessories: Black Embossing powder, Always Artichoke Grosgrain Ribbon, Glue Dots

Wow, time sure flies by when you are having fun! May is Scrapbooking Month and I've been doing research on different types of albums that can be made. I am getting them ready for my 1st Workshop in Ontario on Sunday May 25th, check out the Workshop and Classes link on the left. I will post pictures of the albums after the workshop for those of you who cannot attend! Or if you'd like to host a workshop with some friends and family I can show you how to do them too or bring them to your workshop.

Some of the albums I plan on making include: Jewel Case Album, 12x12 Post Album, 6x6 Ringed Album, Accordian Envelop Album, Scrapbook in a Box (great idea from my upline, so cute!) and maybe a few more. Gotta love splitcoaststampers.com, wealth of information on there for scrapbooking. I'm going to have to try out some of those challenges related to scrapbooking when time permits.

I made this Welcome Baby card for a friend who just became a grandmother. It was such an easy and quick little card, especially since the stamp set I used, So Many Scallops from Sale-A-Bration, was die cut and I now have the scallop punch. Perfect! They work so well together.
Stamps: Short & Sweet, So Many Scallops
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Whisper White, Barely Banana, Pretty In Pink DSP from Level 1 Hostess Paper Pack
Accessories: Pretty In Pink and Barely Banana markers, Scallop Punch, Chocolate Chip Poly-Twill Ribbon, Sticky Strip

Well this move has certaintly taken awhile. But my husband and I moved into our apartment 2 weeks ago and over the weekend I finally had time to unpack my Stampin' Up! stuff. So today I get to play, yea!

During March I had a little time to make cards with my mom and my grandmother. My mom wanted to make thankyou cards so I came up with this design using a new technique. The flowers are stamped on the chocolate chip cardstock with Whisper White Craft ink and then we used pastels to make them pop. It turned out really well. But you need to use a dark cardstock for this technique.

Stamps: Paint Prints, Short and Sweet
Ink: Whisper White craft ink
Paper: Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Pretty In Pink
Accessories: Chocolate Twill Ribbon, Pastels, brads, sponges
As the title reads this will be my last post for awhile. I know I have not posted in a few weeks, but it has been downright cold and everything has been keeping me busy! In another few days I will have to say goodbye to my home here in Manitoba and my view from where I sit.

These cards were made with the items I had recieved with my starter kit. The petals are stamped using the In Colours, Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou and Purely Pomegrante. Behind the flowers is just a strip of Whisper White cardstock, but grosgrain ribbon would do the trick too. When I made the flowers I did not have the Stampin' Dimensionals yet, they would have made it easier to adhere the centre of the flower onto the card.

Stamps: Pick A Petal, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Groovy Guava, Blue Bayou, Purely Pomegrante and Whisper White
Paper: Basic Black and Whisper White
Hello all! Unfortunately with the loss of my husband's job we have decided to move back to Ontario. It has been great to live in Manitoba for over 3 years, I will miss everyone! I will be hosting one more workshop before I leave the end of February, check it out on the Workshop and Classes link.

I've been messing around with my new embossing stuff lately, and deicided to try a new technique. The petals are stamped with Whisper White Craft ink onto Whisper White paper, embossed with clear powder and then coloured in with a Pretty In Pink marker. A really neat outcome, I like it. Not too sure about the "Think BIG" though, it uses the same technique as the petals, but I think there is too much white. Or maybe I'm being to critical! I know I am my worst critic. The centre of the flower is stamped with Versamark onto Pretty In Pink paper, and embossed using clear powder. The picture may not show the background all that great, but it is stamped with Rose Red ink using the flower from the Short and Sweet set.
Stamps: Pick A Petal, It's All Good, Short and Sweet
Ink: Versamark, Whisper White Craft, Rose Red
Paper: Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Clear Embossing powder, Stampin' Dimensionals
