The piece of Wood Textured Designer Series Paper with the embossing paste trees has been sitting on my desk for too long... since the September crop maybe? The great thing about embossing paste is that you can create your own masks to use with it! Made mine by using a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut out the trees using the Card Front Builder tree framelits and the Big Shot. If you wanted to create a mask that is reusable I would suggest using a piece of Window Sheet (something that's on my to do list!).

After trimming down the designer series paper I stamped the main image with Versamark and embossed with Copper Embossing Powder. Stamped the flower and leaves, put everything thru the Big Shot and put together! Definitely will be one of the cards I'll be sending out for Christmas!

Supplies
Stamps: Carols of Christmas
Colours: Copper, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive
Accessories: Card Front Builder Dies, Stitched Shapes Framelits, Embossing Paste, Stampin' Dimensionals, Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, Versamark, Copper Embossing Powder

Bermuda Bay Christmas Card

November 16, 2017 in ,

This colour combo is not traditional but I love it! Found a card similar to this one with this colour scheme on Pinterest. I think I will make some more of these cards to sell at my craft fairs that are coming up soon! Join me Nov 26 at the RCAFA Club at Norman Rogers Airport, Dec 2 at the Battersea United Church and Dec 3 at the Selby Hall.

Did you see the announcement on Monday from Stampin' Up! about the Stamparatus? It's an awesome new stamp positioning tool that I was able to see at Onstage in Salt Lake City last week! Today at 4pm EST you can reserve yours by logging in to the online store. See below for directions on how you can reserve yours!

Day 3 already! Time has flown by. It has been so much fun here in Salt Lake City. I am looking forward to being home again with my husband and dog but sad to leave all my friends and fun here at OnStage!

My third and final swap is a Christmas card featuring a stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue. The Hearts Come Home stamp set is so perfect for this time of year! This is the first one I made as a full card to see if I liked the design. You might notice under the houses there is glitter, I put a swipe of Wink of Stella to create a snow base but then forgot to add it to my swaps!

Supplies
Stamps: Hearts Come Home
Colours: Pool Party, Dapper Denim, Island Indigo
Accessories: Wood Textured Designer Series Paper Stack, Holly Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stampin' Dimensionals, Wink of Stella

Hello and welcome! Today I am participating in a global blog hop with other Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world. This month's theme is Anything But A Card and since I love pocket page scrapbooking I just had to share this one:

Lovely as a Tree stamp set is so versatile! The pine tree was perfect for a watercolour technique for this pocket page. After inking the pine tree with Emerald Envy ink I spritzed it with water and then stamped onto the watercolour paper. That created the darker more smooched trees. For the other versions I inked up the stamp, stamped it on my grid paper and then spritzed it with water before stamping on the watercolour paper. It's fun to try different combinations of ink saturation and water saturation! To get the splatters I used my Aquapainter and Emerald Envy ink and tapped the Aquapainter to spray the colour onto the watercolour paper. After it was dry, Wink of Stella was added to give the trees some shimmer.

Supplies
Stamps: Lovely As A Tree
Colours: Emerald Envy, Whisper White, Tranquil Tide, Basic Black
Accessories: Watercolour paper, Basic Black Bakers Twine, Layering Circles Framelits, Seasonal Layers Framelits, Lovely Words Thinlits, Wink of Stella, Aquapainter, Memories and More Journal Pens, Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder
