Are you someone who uses a planner? Or are you like me and use an app for that? I was intrigued when I saw the Making Plans Collection on page 19 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. During the demonstrator preorder in June, one of my favourite reasons to be a demonstrator, I was able to add the planner to my order so that I could play with all the pieces to share ideas on how you can use it! In this blog post I'll share 3 ideas of what to do with the Making Plans Collection and how you can receive it for free.
July is World Watercolour Month. I love to watercolour so this is a great excuse to show you some tips and tricks to create a Yeti to Party Christmas card using the Watercolour Pencils. Today's card uses the Yeti to Party stamp set. It's adorable & perfect for birthdays and Christmas!
July is World Watercolour Month and a great way to celebrate is to create a card using a watercolour technique, watercolour wash! Today's card shows how to create a watercolour card with Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set. You can change up the colours depending on which designer series paper you use. I just had to chose purple as it's my favourite colour!
Do you like pine trees? I think pine trees are one of my favourite objects to take pictures of, second only to taking pictures of neat looking clouds. Why am I talking about pine trees? Today's project shows how you can create some cardstock pine trees and create a Christmas scrapbook layout using the Tree Lot Dies.
The last few years Stampin' Up! has included some cute animal stamps in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and this year is no different! This blog post shares how you can create a cute hippo card using the Hippest Hippos stamp set and how you can earn it for free.
Would you like to have 8 birthday cards on hand ready to send or hand deliver? Create birthday cards with the Light the Candles card kit! It includes everything you need, including the clear block and ink spot.
A kit is a fun way to start stamping or to expand your supplies if you are a new stamper. Everything included in one fun box! You then have an ink spot and stamp set to reuse on a different project. This blog post included more ideas for the Christmas Whimsy Card Kit for you to see what you can make using just the kit's contents but also an extra card version that needs just a few other products to create.
Stampin' Up!'s He's The Man Suite is full of fun pattern paper, dies and stamps with great sayings on them! While this suite says "he" you could definitely use it for anyone. This card doesn't have to be for the guy in your life as the sentiment reads "ever day with you is another adventure". My head is full of ideas for scrapbook pages of travels with my dog, my mom and my husband. Can you think of someone that sentiment would be a great fit?
Are you a new stamper or someone who is still building their crafting stash? In this blog post I share a few tips on what products you should have in your crafting stash. These are a few items I use every time I create:
  • Simply Shammy - needs only water to clean your stamps
  • Tear & Tape Adhesive - just rip off the amount you need
  • Basic White 8 1/2" X 11" Cardstock
  • Rhinestone Basic Jewels - a pop of sparkle is sometimes needed on your card
If you've ever get the chance to flip through my scrapbook albums, you would notice I create more pocket pages then traditional layouts. I find pocket pages easier to make decisions for what photos to add and how many pictures to include. When I started to play with the He's The Man Suite and how I could create a scrapbook layout with it I was drawn to create a layout inspired by 3"x 4" sized pockets.
Are you dreaming about summer weather? Today was absolutely gorgeous near Kingston, Ontario. High of 17 degrees Celsius and we had the windows open. Even had our 1st campfire tonight before I watched the season finale of Outlander. Summer vibes was why I purchased the Kite Delight stamp set. This stamp set makes me think of green open fields, bright blue skies and white puffy clouds. A perfect summer day!
I love when there are pre-designed embellishments that can be popped out and glued to my project using Mini Glue Dots or my favourite adhesive, the Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The Abstract Beauty Suite includes a Ephemera Pack.

The Abstract Beauty Suite is great for new and experienced stampers. Especially since it includes a cards & envelopes pack that includes 10 pre-printed cards and 10 envelopes that have pretty designs on the inside of them. You could cut apart the envelopes and use the designs on your cards instead of sheets from the Abstract Beauty designer series paper.
Pocket page scrapbooking is my favourite way to preserve my memories. To me it's less daunting then tackling a 12" x 12" empty page. Using pocket pages you can add multiple photos that wouldn't fit together on a traditional layout. And it makes me remember flipping through old photo albums at my parent's place. There was a certain photo album that had 4" x 6" pockets in it and I'm sure it was a Techniques gray album, as in Panasonic Techniques. My family sold and repaired consumer electronics for many years and we primarily sold Panasonic products. The photos were slipped into the pockets and the plastic made this noise that I can still "hear" to this day! I wonder if my mom still has it? Do you have a memory of looking through photo albums when you were younger?
These scenes make me think back to when I was a teenager... Whew I wrote that out and wondered if I'm old enough to say "think back" or does that make me sound older than I am? lol But it reminds me when I would paint with my watercolours to create landscape scenes. I haven't made a watercolour painting in a long time. So when I spied the New Horizon designer series paper I knew it was being added to my collection. Now that I have it I almost don't want to use it! It's so pretty!
The New Horizon designer series paper (DSP) is one of my favourite packs of paper right now. My second favourite is the Sunshine & Rainbows designer series paper! Do you have a favourite pack?

The designs in the New Horizon DSP are of gorgeous sunset or sunrise landscape scenes. But on the opposite side or back side of the landscape designs are watercolour wash designs that look like water or clouds or fog. It was perfect to use for this card to make it look like the background is water. The otter can float along holding the cute little fish.

Welcome to December's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! Today we are sharing projects using colours from the Regals Collection. You might see 1 colour from the collection or multiples used together.

Welcome to July's Pretty Cards & Paper blog hop. The You're A Peach designer series paper is the focus of our projects this month. And bonus - it's on sale until August 2 for 15% off.
Do you like the colours in this pack of DSP? They are Balmy Blue, Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Early Espresso, Mango Melody, Pale Papaya, Pear Pizzazz & Petal Pink. It's neat how the colours are used to colour in the peach - Bumblebee, Calypso Coral, Petal Pink and Mango Melody. The flowers on my card were coloured in using some of these colours with the Stampin' Blends.

Welcome to May's Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop and this month's theme is Brand New!
Since the NEW 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue started this past Tuesday it was perfect to design this scrapbook layout and use a NEW suite! The Hand-Penned Suite is a lovely subtle garden design with some of my favourite colours: Mint Macaron, Misty Moonlight and Pool Party. Another reason to love this suite is the coordinating Hand-Penned Memories & More Card Pack. The two 3x4" cards used on this layout are from this pack.

Butterfly layout
The Butterfly Brilliance bundle consists of the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and the Brilliant Wings dies. Please note that the butterflies in the stamp set are one stamp and the butterfly dies in the bottom right of the above image are one die. You may carefully cut the butterfly stamps apart if you'd like (watch the video below and you can see how I cut mine apart) but I do not recommend cutting up the large die.

Hello and welcome to Facebook Thursday! Every week I pick a product to create at least one project and show you how to create it during a Facebook Live (details below on where to find me). This week is about Gilded Leafing. You'll want to make sure to follow along for some tips on how to make it stick to your project and how to handle it (hint - it goes everywhere if you aren't careful!).
This card came about while I was creating cards for a technique idea I shared during this month's team meeting. While creating cards to show how to use punches and designer series paper together to create unique cards I wondered how I could quickly glue the punched pieces onto the card front without having to put glue on each individual piece. After looking at the adhesive options Stampin' Up! has available I decided to try the Adhesive Sheets. The trouble with using Adhesive Sheets with the punched images not butting up against either other is sticky spots between the punched images. The jar of Gilded Leafing just happened to be sitting on my desk and caught my eye!
I go live every week on Thursday at 7:30pm Eastern on my From Where I Stamp page - https://www.facebook.com/FromWhereIStamp. Everyone is welcome to join! If you are unable to join me live you'll find the recording below to watch:
