Happy Birthday Cards

April 27, 2019 in
During my Facebook live on Thursday I case'd this card, that I received as a swap, to create my own card.

I changed up the colours and stamp set but kept the design and designer series paper the same. I'm still not sure I like the Melon Mambo card base, by the time I realized that everything was already glued to it. Not that a few days have passed its grown on me, so I'm glad it wasn't changed.

Join me on Thursdays at 7pm over on www.Facebook.com/FromWhereIStamp for my next Facebook Live.

Supplies
Stamps:  Butterfly Gala
Colours:  Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories:  How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper, Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, Butterfly Duet Punch, Country Floral 3D embossing folder

The day before Onstage I decided to create some 3D swaps to use as roommate gifts, new table friend gifts and swaps if there were any left over. For this swap my goal was to use the Best Catch bundle in the Occasion catalogue and gummy fish inside the pizza boxes. I started with an idea to use a circle of velum as a peek hole in the pizza box, embossed the vellum with the Seaside Embossing Folder and then coloured it blue. That idea failed, the velum wasn't see-though enough to see the gummy fish I was putting inside.

My second idea was to use a square of Window sheet, emboss it and then colour it blue using a Stampin' Blend. It turned out okay, but still not transparent enough because I coloured it blue! So my final design has a clear Window Sheet that is embossed with the Seaside Embossing Folder and left uncoloured. I used a Stampin' Spritzer with rubbing alcohol and 7 drops of Balmy Blue ink refill to spritz the outsides of the pizza boxes before assembling them.

The fish were coloured using a variety of Stampin' Blends. Mixing different colours, such as Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake together is a first for me but I love how it turned out! Did you notice that the die for the fish has cut outs for the fins? Looks awesome doesn't it?

Supplies
Stamps: Best Catch
Colours: Balmy Blue, Old Olive, Garden Green
Accessories: Window Sheets, Stampin' Spritzer, Catch of the Day dies, Pizza boxes, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Blends in various colours, Seaside Embossing Folder, Layering Circle dies

Welcome to a Extra Ordinary Blog Hop to celebrate new products coming in June with the 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue or products that will be carrying over from the current catalogues!

Last weekend at Onstage in Quebec City was a blast! There were 6 of us that travelled the 6.5 hour drive for a weekend getaway. At Onstage there were about 450 demonstrators from across Canada and from the US as well. The above card was our make and take at Onstage. The card base is a Note Card with the new Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper covering the card front. I wanted to share a new version of this card using products I was able to order early. Demonstrators that attend Onstage have an early chance to order from a Product Purchase Premiere and I made sure to order the Come Sail Away suite!

For this card I tried to mimic similar elements from the Onstage Make and Take card. The anchor was stamped and embossed in Silver and then die cut, instead of the lighthouse I used the sailboat and the die cut rope instead of the Baker's Twine. These 2 cards would work as part of a card gift set for anyone!

Supplies
Stamps: Sailing Home
Colours: Night of Navy, Soft Suede, Smokey Slate
Accessories: Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper, Smooth Sailing Dies, Sail Away Trinkets, Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine, Note Cards, Tailored Tag Punch, Everyday Label Punch, Silver Embossing Powder, Stampin Dimensionals.

Onstage in Quebec City was a blast! The drive there and back was uneventful, other than rush hour traffic on Fri - that was insane! Quebec City is a beautiful spot to walk around even with the steep and tall hills. Check out my Instagram feed for some pictures of my weekend away - www.instagram.com/FromWhereIStamp.

Today I'm sharing my second swap that I made up for Onstage. I haven't looked through the swaps I received back yet but hope to share some of those within the next few weeks! Since I made 20 of these I wanted a simpler design with few layers. My Stamparatus was very helpful to creating this card quickly. The bass and the lure were stamped in Night of Navy while the bubbles were in Balmy Blue. For the cattails I coloured in the top part with a Bronze Stampin' Blend.

Stamps: Best Catch
Colours: Gray Granite, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Balmy Blue

April 13, 2019 in , ,
This card is cased from one I saw on Pinterest. The original card used designer series paper from the Holiday Catalogue so I switched it to the Wood Textured Designer Series Paper. I had a lot of scraps that were perfect for this card! I made about 20 of these cards as swaps for today's Quebec City Onstage that I am attending. Head over to Instagram to check out the excitement as I will be sharing photos of today's events - www.instagram.com/FromWhereIStamp

Supplies
Stamps: Country Home

Welcome to my blog and April's Colour Combo Blog Hop using the colors Pear Pizazz, So Saffron and Blushing Bride.

These colours are perfect for Spring! I'm looking forward to seeing my tulips and daffodils in my garden. My garden and these colours brought to mind the First Frost stamp set - a prefect combination for this project! The coordinating Frosted Bouquet Framelits help make this card come together quickly.

There has been a buzz the last while online about the Floating Frame technique and I thought it would be neat to try it for a swap card that I needed for the team meeting this past Sunday. The technique calls for Press and Seal wrap but someone had mentioned on the Demonstrator Facebook page her idea of doing the technique without the wrap. First I cut out the frame with the Stitched Rectangle dies and then embossed it using the Seaside Embossing Folder. Ahead of time I stamped and die cut the images. Once the frame was ready I placed the image on the frame, then used my scissors to trim the pieces that hung past the edges. The images then are popped up on the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on the frame. To finish the card adhere the frame to the card base and stamp the greeting in the middle.

Supplies
Stamps: Sea of Textures, Humming Along (sentiment)
Colours: Soft Sea Foam, Blackberry Bliss, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Accessories: Seaside Embossing Folder, Under the Sea Framelits, Mini Stampin' Dimensionals

Welcome to the April Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! This month we are featuring The Neutrals Collection with our projects.

A few people had asked me to make some Father's Day cards and the Neutral collection is perfect for them. I had bought the Best Catch bundle from the Occasions Catalogue for scrapbooking pictures of my husband's fishing but it also fits for Father's Day.

I used Shimmery White cardstock for the water, embossed it using the Seaside Embossing Folder,  sprinkled Prussian Blue Brusho over the "waves" and spritzed with water. I left some of it white thinking that it looked like whitecaps on the water. You can see the sparkle of the Shimmery cardstock in the above picture. The fishies were die cut and then embossed using the Subtle Embossing Folder. Love how this card turned out - definitely have to make more cards using this stamp set!

Supplies
Stamps: Best Catch
Colours: Night of Navy, Mossy Mellow, Early Espresso, Gray Granite, Whisper White, Shimmery White
Accessories: Prussian Blue Brusho, Catch of the Day Thinlits, Seaside Texture Impressions Embossing Folder, Subtle Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder, Silver Metallic Thread, Tailored Tag Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals
