White washed background

I've been inspired lately to create some wedding cards. Especially since my friend is getting married in only 7 weeks! The card above was my first creation. The stamped image is from my seldom used Fun and Fast Notes stamp set. Did you notice the Daffodil Delight 1-1/4" grosgrain ribbon? I folded it in half on both cards.

This next card is basically the same, except after embossing with the Big Shot and the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder, I brayered Whisper White craft ink onto one side of the Night of Navy card stock. What a cool technique! I saw it somewhere online, thanks to whomever you are! So cool!

Which one do you like better? I gave my friend the second card for her Bridal Shower today that I co-hosted (I'm her maid of honour).

Supplies
Stamps: Fun and Fast Notes
Ink: Whisper White craft ink, Black Stazon
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Old Olive
Accessories: Daffodil Delight 1-1/4" grosgrain ribbon, Regals Designer button, glue dots, sticky strip, stampin' dimensional, various stampin' write markers, brayer, Big Shot and Vintage Wallpaper Impression folder

I like the first card, but both are great. I will definitely try that technique you used on the second card. It gives a great effect!

I like the white washed card best, but they are both very pretty.

Thanks for sharing,

I LOVE the white washed one. They are both very nice, but I love the added detail of the white washed background. I also would never have thought to fold the ribbon in half, great idea.
